Wiffle Ball Game for Go-Karts/Ripcord

Does anyone know if the annual wiffle ball game is still a tradition?

We started it back in 2002, and I know it continued for a few years, but I haven't heard much about it since.

I may still hold the record as the only person to strike out twice in a wiffle ball game.

I think the last year was either 2004 or 2005 unless it was picked up in the past year or two.

I've never heard of this. Maybe we'll pick it back up this year!

We held the game over in commons in front of the store. We would draw a huge crowd to watch us. We even made our own tshirts for each team. It was quite a spectacle.

We did it once over in the softball field across from Bayside.

This sounds awesome. I'm game for some healthy competition.

Or even if we could find a diamond somewhere in Sandusky to rent out after the park closes, we could hold a current crew/alumni game. Something like that would be cool.

We had plans to do something similar on the beach in 08 (Ripcord Olympics) but never actually set a date for it before everyone started leaving in August.

We had our own version of Ripcord Olympics on the flight line this past season haha

Did it include putting together a 3-ring, one handed, behind your back in time for catching the flyers? Because if it didn't, those Olympics don't compare to the games we played:)

For the record, yes I can do the above.

I spent hours trying, but never was able to do the 3-ring one handed. Although I could do it faster than almost anyone else when using both hands.

I was able to do a 3-ring one handed only once in 2010. The day we first learned to do them, it took me a good five minutes though, at least haha

The first year I met Jason from Skycoaster he thought that he would be cool and challenge me to doing it. Little did he know I already knew how to do it and showed him up by doing it behind my back. Still remember it like it was yesterday.

That's pretty awesome! I never did get to meet Skycoaster Jason, as he didn't do our tests in 08, and I wasn't around when he came in 09.

Real nice guy, known him for awhile now. He has a memory like no other though. If you meet him once at a site, he will remember you forever. It amazes me the people he can remember when talking to him about other Skycoaster installations around the US.

This should happen this year! It'd be neat!!

Ripcord Olympics should've happened EVERY night! Maybe then everyone would've gotten along. haha

^So THAT'S the reason. I was at Skyscraper when those Ripcord Olympics happened!

To the 2012 crew, have lots of fun. I might visit for a day, so try not to break Scraper too often.
