2003 Best Memory

My best memory was probally was sitting on the launch pad of Top Thrill Dragster for my first time waiting to launch! Also another good memory was when I rode in the front seat of Millennium Force for the first time. Cedar Point is the greatest park ever built!!!! I can't wait for the 2004 season!

2003: drag:4 one in front!

I would have to say that I have two best memories- I got the very front seat of the very first train-load of people on the 4th of July after all the downtime and got a free picture out of it! Also getting the last public train of the year on magnum was an experience I wont soon forget (until i do it again next year!)

Waking up in a LH Point Cottage and seeing what the day held before me from the deck.

Bliss.

My best memory would definately be getting the last ride of the season on Millennium Force :)
Drilling the side of my head into the harness of Raptor, during the cobra roll, and receiving a concussion from it. How do I know I got a concussion? Because it took 2 hours before I finally threw up. I went to my doctor the next day and he said I had a mild concussion. Not the best memory, but the most vivid out of the ten trips I made up to the point this season.

Hands down my first rollback on Dragster with Steve. We we come so close and we didn't get one all season. Finally one Sunday afternoon, we pulled out onto the launch posistion and the train infront of us made it over with no problem. Our train moved into the launch posistion and the wind really picked up. Steve and I looked at each other but we both didn't say anything. As soon as the first light on the tree hit yellow our arms were up the air. During the launch I really noticed how the wind was taking its toll on the train. We made it to the top of the tower, we paused and steve and I looked at each other and we knew we were going back. We gave each other high 5's and we went nuts. Once we stopped and SLOWLY started rolling back to the launch postion my phone started to ring. My brother just got off Magnum and saw us roll back and he called me on the phone to see if I saw the roll back. It was the first one he ever saw and he was just as excited as we were.

Riding the Magnum with my nervous 7 year-old for his very first Magnum ride. He liked it so much we rode it seven times in a row that Wednesday morning.
My best memory has to be closing day when we just rode Magnum most of the day and hit everything else in a very short time. Being the last Magnum train of the year (in my favorite seat 6-1) takes the cake for me though. Great season and I cant wait for 04'!

10 rides on force including the last ride of the night closing day.
Ditto Dan. Getting one a few rides later helped too :)

Well, there's really 3 that are up in the air here.

1.) Running of the bulls for TTD on opening day and the ride

2.) Joe Cool ERT nights, including repeatedly going straight from the unload station to the load

3.) Last Magnum train of season

It seems as though several of you were on the same trains to end the season...did any of you have knowledge of this fact while you were in the station/riding?

I would have to say that my most memorable moment at CP this year had to be my first ride on Dragster on opening day, and closing day with the last GP train on magnum with my brother fat chris in our favorite seat 6-1.

My best memory is the first time I actually got to the park this season and took a look at TTD in person. It's such an impressive structure and it excites everyone that watches it form anywhere in the park.

Other than that, I have to say when I won the coastermania essay contest. That was pretty darned cool even if we didn't get the "big" prize of going to the front of the line. (the goodie bag definitely made up for that!)

I originally go two times a year, and the first time I went in June, Dragster was down. It tested only a few times, but it got me pumped to ride it on my next trip. The second trip in July to the park, it said the ride would be closed all day. I did know that it has downtime, and eventually it opened various times through the day. So I spent the whole day seeing if it is testing, and I always missed it when I wanted to get in line. By the time I had the chance to get in line, it was already 9:00 and had to meet up at 10:30 or whenever the light show was over. My friend and I were so anxious to ride it for the first time, but there became the breakdowns. When everyone saw the first rollback, [and then it started up again] everyone went nuts. It then was 11:30 after the park closed when we rode it, and it was worth waiting for.
Mine would have to be, out of many this season, riding Top Thrill Dragster for the Travel Channel! 12 launches, 7 complete rides, and 5 rollbacks! Not bad for about 1 1/2 hours of riding!

My first ride on Mean Streak (before the park opened for the season) It was cold, I was in the back seat and the trims were off. That my friends is how Mean Streak is supposed to be with no trims.

My best memory was on Holloweekends (Oct 18), I was in the front car of Magnum at 11:45pm taking the plunge into the total darkness of the cold night. I have never had a better ride on Magnum
