2006

I know I am going to get trashed for bringing this up so early, but in my opinion every year without a coaster just means that the next one will be even bigger. I would not be surprised at all if construction walls went up in mid-season this year(such as 2002 before Dragster). I know I will keep my eye out for any signs of construction. If it were up to me 2006 would be the year CP broke the inversion record with a 12 inversion Intamin looper.

I'm pretty sure that you're not going to get trashed for brining it up so early, but because of the fact that you are the 2345234523th person to bring it up.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Alright, I'll be the first to bash...

The 2005 season hasn't even STARTED yet! Can't you hold off for another few weeks and just enjoy the park instead of wanting to know what's new?

a big part of 2006's budget is gonna be spent in Michigan, I would think.

TTD 120mph,

You live in Lincoln Park and have your "fingers crossed" for expansion at MiAdv? CP is probably about the same distance away, if not less.

And when I say "a big part of 2006's budget", I'm guessing between 3-8 million. Major expansion is years away.

No, there will not be a coaster in 2006. It'll be in 2007 for Kinzel's going away present. Don't you pay attention?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a smaller coaster, like a woodie of some kind, in 2006, followed by a bigger coaster (not necessarily a height/speed record breaker) in 2007. Yeah, that would be nice. :)

I happen to like MiAdv. And any improvement to the park is good news(ex:the new water slide). I would like to see it become a park that people will really want to visit(not to say that people don't), even if it does take a while to improve it to such standards.
Were even lucky that the water expansion issue was resolved allowing for these future expansions.

P.S. It's a way longer ride to MiAdv than it is to Cedar Point from where I live. I go to a town up north every year that is near MiAdv and it's a 4 hr drive just to get there(depending on traffic).

A new woodie would be great. I would actually much rather have a new wooden coaster than a steel, there hasn't been a new woodie for 14 years.

B&M Flyer...please! Oh, and with the dual station, not the single one with horrible loading times.

A nice steel Intamin or B & M would be nice at Mi Adv... They have the room!!

Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast

Planning a roller coaster around ones retirement strikes me as odd. If it's not economical at the time, I don't think they would just "do it anyway" for someones send off.

2006, can you say Inverted Strata-woodie?

I sure can't.

Is me or does it seem like we always have new coasters coming every year. I could do a search and find topics about 2001 coaster, 2004 coaster, 2005 coaster. I personally wouldn't mind to see another year like 2004. There were no new rides, but the park looked a lot better than it ever did. CP is good at making the park look nice and replace old things with new, to make the popularity never die out. The time will come when CP builds another coaster, just don't rush it.

Dick Kinzel told me that they will no longer be building new coasters because they are out of space.

Yeah, i was going to say i dont think they has the space anymore, it would be sweet if they did build a new coaster like a 500 foot one or something that would be sweet.

You both are wrong. Cedar Point isn't running out of room.

What do you think about the inversion record breaker?
