a legend?

If not already!

Mean Streak: Fast and Furious,
I believe that on the sign in front of Blue Streak, while you wait in line, says that Blue Streak was the tallest rollercoaster in Ohio. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I read that too. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the WORLD'S tallest at the time.
No surprise that they were also talking about it in Kennywood last weekend. And of course, there was plenty of buzz at Dorney two weeks ago. I'm seriously considering heading up to Knoebel's this weekend to add Twister and Phoenix to my track record, so we'll see if the MF talk is happening there as well...

May 27, Dorney
June 3, KW
June 16-20, CP
now i am interested to see if people are talking about it at SFGAm in Illinois...too bad i won't get there til August or September...unless i'm REALLY jonesin' for a ride :)!!!

can't believe they cancelled the Simpsons after all these years...now look sad and say D'OH!!
I think alot depends on what coasters come out in the next year and how long MF and CP will hold its records. Since we're in a coaster "boom" right now, it will be hard to tell. All I know is I can't wait for July 12st!

Well FarAway, that isn't too good of a way to tell if MF is a legend or not since the height and speed record will both be broken come August by Steel Dragon 2000 in Japan.

Dear God, again? Are you really going to think anything less of MF because another ride is eight feet taller?

NEVER!! MF rules all here in the USA!! we have the best, greatest coaster ever built and nothing the Japanese can come up with will impress me enough to go there and ride it. besides, didn't i hear that folks from Japan have been here to ride MF already?? how many of us care to make that trip when we know we have the best right here??

I never said anything about MF being less good just because a bigger one was being built. I SAID that that is not a good way to tell if the ride is a legend or not, since bigger ones will be built. Height and records have NOTHING to do with whether or not a ride is a "legend".

Jeff, please stop reading everything like it is half empty. My post above was stating that height has NOTHING to do with it, but you took it like I was saying, "MF sucks because it doesnt hold any records." I obviously wasn't.
Corection the 2 greatest coasters ever built. Two in one park now let's go for the 1,2,3 punch!
Yes, mainly because of the speed. Magnum and Beast will always be top notch coasters.

GO SHAMROCKS!
GO WOLVERINES!
Maggy still rules in my mind, its just that MF rules so much more..they are TOTALLY different rides and i love them each for different reasons...Maggy because it was my first
CP coaster(and because if the "cigarette incident") and MF because, well, becuase it left me speechless. and NOTHING leaves ME speechless(right Hooper?). i still cannot find words to describe it....
