A year ago today

It was this date last year that I first saw the track in the bone yard while riding Mean Streak.

What a year its been!

Hard to believe it has been a year. It seems like only yesterday I heard about it on the news. Makes you wonder if there is anything else on site now, doeesn't it?

You know sometimes I wonder if the parks think we dont notice things.I am curious of the new ride at SFGA.they have the area near the cable cars all sealed off.Last year at Hershey you saw wood on the grass in the midway section of the park and this year...poof!Lightning Racer.Three years agowhile riding Thunderhawk you saw metal rods on the side of the coaster and the next year...poof..Steel Force was born(Magnum's sister or brother). Are we not supposed to notice or do they want us to and spread the word? Then if we are wrong, rumors get out of hand and we are made to look like fools.Hmmm.......
right now there are extra MF supports in the yard.

They aren't extra... they're pieces that didn't fit correctly. Several short support columns did not line-up correctly with the track, so new ones were apparently fabricated. I have pictures, but given the photo embargo, I'd have to show you them personally.

Kinda ironic how just a year ago we couldn't wait to find out what exactly what was going to be built. Now all we do is whine about the administration of god's gift to coaster enthusiasts.
very true thanks for the clarification

If you can't ride it then it's just a really expensive ornament, no?

They're not letting people ride it?

Bill means TTR and the fact that some people aren't getting to ride it...
and when i was there in May last year we were riding the CPLE back to MS and i noticed that it looked like they were doing some tree removal along Perimiter Road and i said "looks like they're gonna put something in over here...didn't look like this last year." and lo and behold...Millennium Force!!!

ride early, ride often!!!
Actually I meant administration of coasters in general, but the TTR thing works too.

God's gift to roller coaster enthusiasts would be a free coaster with no line. =) I think MF is too profitable to be considered a gift.
What are you talking about when you say there is a photo embargo Jeff?

Proud to be a Cedar Point Fanatic.
I think it means he can't show pictures that he had from within Cedar Point on the off-season-behind the scenes pictures that not just anyone could have taken.

I can show them to you, I just can't distribute them via the Internet. They want to "maintain the integrity of their own site."
