Accident on M-Force ?

When I was at the park Sunday, I saw the red train stuck for quite a while, then it very slowly went up the hill and finally over the top. After it made it to the sation they unladed from the block behind the exit station took a train off and it was closed the rest of the day. Maybe issues with the lift/motor. I have never seen it go up that slow before, could have been the backup generator getting it over. Has it been open since Sunday?

That was more than likely me. Someone (who shall remain nameless) put a large amount of clear, sugar cane based liquid in my Pepsi bottle so I was making a greater than average amount of noise. As I recall my language was somewhat less than couth.

That was actually the third e-stop of the day; previously on Mantis and Mine Ride we had stops on the lift hills because of camera idiots. Had a nice long (protein spilling) ride on Ocean Motion that night too.

Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."

Just called and it is open.

For what it's worth, in some circumstances that require going up in the funicular, Safety is required to be on hand. This may be the reason you saw the ambulance.

Depending on how far up the lift they were, josh you must be very loud to yell back and forth to someone on the train from the parking lot by Millennium. ;)

Anyways, yes it was down for mechanical reasons and mechanical reasons only. Please don't think for a second that a ride host will lie to you about something like that. Especially the ones who are at entrance and wouldn't really know too much about the situation anyways.

I was in the park all day Monday and Tuesday and can attest that it must have been mechanical. They ran tests on her all monday afternoon. We'd be in FrontierLand or near Magnum and see the test cars flying around the track once every hour or so. At one point monday mid-afternoon they even put five testers out in a row and a small line formed at the entrance, but we left the park around 5:30/6ish and they were just re-opening her. If it was some sort of accident, they wouldn't have opened her so soon afterwards.

There were a lot of down rides on Mon/Tues....Millie, Windseeker was down for awhile, Dragster was down sporatically even with the nice weather on both days and Wicked Twister was down for about five hours on Tuesday. There was something wrong with the left arm of Sky Hawk was well, the ride was down most of the two days, and when it was up and running again, only the right arm was working....not sure if it was all mechanical issues, or some sort of maintenance, but it made for some strangely long lines (Blue Streak was a 25 minute wait!)

Exactly where is the parking lot at next to MF? In Sandusky Bay?

Too bad you couldn't subject your poor, defenseless coasterphobe students to that one!

Thanks for saying that. :) Now it will probably happen this year.

It's bound to happen eventually. You should have seen some of their faces as they watched Dragster roll-back last year.

^^ It's right across the road from the exit/loading stations. It requires a permit (usually for people at the marina) in order to park there.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

you look down right at it next to the bit of docks, crammed in between the tree's and the curve, I think as Ralph said it it is usually a private marina lot. A. I have no problem yelling and being heard on the lift hill, but also don't forget technically the park was closed by that point, there was no music on, no other coasters running and no other guests in the park, so there wasn't a lot of sound to compete with.
