Auction seems to be booming

so your basically not going to AAA day because its not open all day?? Not even to be one of the 1st to ride MF??...OK

and just because I'm bidding does not make me rich by any means!! I put a little in an envelope over the course of the last 4 months to save for this..Its very easy to do because in general you blow money everyday on useless stuff and overpriced fast food!!...To me it was saving money for a wise investment..and a fun one at that!! You also get MF momentos and other "fringes" as part of this VIP ride...It will be worth it just to look at the faces of all the people opening day who will have to wait forever....

I AM going AAA day and will have ridden it several times before my VIP session on the 13th..so I'm getting the best of both worlds!!

just my $.02..I'll get off the soapbox now

Who cares?!? It's all charity anyway. If you have a $1000 to give to the Red Cross, go ahead and bid $1000 on the first day. It's not necessarily a competitive auction, it's just a fun way to donate money to the Red Cross. Save the tips and strategies for an auction that would actually matter.
I really can't believe how much people are over analyzing this auction. Person has money, person wants to donate money, person wants a tax write-off, person wants a special (no wait) ride on Millennium Force. When you put all of these things together, it makes sense to bid whatever you can afford to donate.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park! *** This post was edited by Natas on 4/29/2000. ***
actually, i aggree with you guys, i was just stating my openion, hey.. i wish i had the money... but then again i don't mind waiting in lines, when i'm with friends, it gives you time to talk to them and stuff, and also, to Jeffrey Spartan, that's cool that you could save a little money here and there for this ride, but i've been laid off for the past 4 months anyway, so no cash flow, no VIP ride... i hafta spend my money on a season pass, which i personally find more valuable then the whole VIP thing, but really I'm done contridicting all of you.. REALLLY!
