I was at the park yesterday, and while I was on MeanStreak some guys I would say in there early 40's asked about the construction. The ride op said that they were making a Friday August 25th announcement. Walt if you have heard anything or can relate any of it please do. I am not try to start anything new I was just curious if Walt had heard.

There have been a million threads about this already, just so you know.

I realize that, but I was wondering if this date was true, thats Why I was asking Walt if he had heard anything?

Does knowing if thats the date or not making it come any faster?

Let's say it will be announced on August 31. That way, we cannot be disappointed.

What does it matter when its announced? Whether its August 1st, August 25 or January 25. The ride isn't going to open until May 2007 anyway.

And if you know there are other threads about this, why couldn't you ask the question in one of those threads?

We already know it's august. Who cares on the exact date. We will get a heads up the day before on an upcoming announcement.

Perhaps that's one of the biggest reasons that the exact date isn't well known?

Maybe they don't want the place to be swarming with enthusiasts, and risk another CMania Q&A session, on a much larger scale.

Actually, I have been around GTTP since 2000 - I changed my screen name on my current date, but thanks for playing, asshat.

I think that May '2007 is a pretty safe assumption. If all goes well that is.
