Best places to eat after a trip to the point

Just curious where everyone goes after the park. I usually go to Andy's China Dragon. It's on Milan Rd and it cures the cravings from smell the Panda Express all day.

The food is killer. The portions are huge. You can get a free drink by singing a song. Also Andy is batspit crazy and every visit is a good time.

You are in my neighborhood now. Right across the street from Andy's is Mings. We also have Casa Real right next store. Everyone loves Chet and Matt's. And we have Manny's Sports bar down 250 alittle further.

Chet and Mikes (I think that's what it's called) a pizza place off of the main strip, as you're leaving the park on the left hand side there's a Menards, you turn left on the next road and it's right there. Great food and alright prices.

Thirsty Pony.

The trick is finding a place that is actually *open* after the park closes.

The result is that frequently your only choices are Steak 'N Shake or Dianna's. If you're quick, you can stop at the Thirsty Pony. The most ridiculous food service situation has got to be DQ, which is *operated by* Cedar Point, and is frequently closed by the time people who stayed until close can get there.

I love Diana's Deli, located on 250 just south of Perkins Ave. It's open 24 hours, has a huge selection of great food for a low price!

Waffle House. :)

Let's Get Weird.

I have stopped at Waffle House on my way home from Waldameer.

Thirsty Pony is my preferred place nowadays. Usually a good burger. Last visit was only ok.

How late is Chet and Matt's open on Saturday nights? I found their website but it doesn't have hours listed. My wife and I have always wanted to try it but haven't since we're always either in the park all day/night or getting up early the next day and to head home.

We're coming up (from southern IL) on Oct. 19th but won't get into town until really late. Gonna spend all day Oct. 20th in the park, then head home early on the 21st. Is there any other good late night food spots in Sandusky?

Louie's. Hands down.

Girl: "l want to ride that yellow one again... Twisted Wicker"
Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."

Haven't been to Louie's in years. Is it open to the public now, or still "members only?"

You gotta check out Cameos, there's a couple of locations near the park. The best pizza I ever had.

East of Chicago Piz...never mind

I do NOT recommend going to Dirty Diana's. I don't trust ay restaurant that smells like a wet dog.

Thirsty Pony right at the entrance of Cedar Point Dr OR B-dubs on 250 in the plaza across from the Harley Davidson shop are always good choices. Chet and Matt's pizza is so good too. Its not hard to find. There's signs all over Sandusky directing you to it.

I just called Chet and Matts for you and they said that on Friday and Saturday they try to stay open until Midnight unless it's not busy, then it is 11:30pm.

Do they deliver to CP?

I've been to Thirsty Pony a few times, and I've had a consistently awesome burger and great server every time. All 3 times were in May on a weekday when we were one of the only tables there though.

Last time our waiter just joined our table and hung out while our food was being prepared, with friendly chat about CP that in no way felt like fake, tip-milking stuff. Then, he left us so that we could eat and became one of those perfect severs that brings new drinks at just the right time and is very attentive without being annoying. It really left a good impression that I didn't expect out of a bar-like environment.

Next time I'm going to try Chet and Matt's with all the recommendations here though.

Like Dave said, the key is finding places that are open after the park closes. The restaurants in that town as a whole seem to have an aversion to making money, why else would you shut down right before thousands of potential customers drive past your place? Even the drive through joints close ridiculously early outside of the peak summer season.

Louie's is open to the public now. We stop there early in the evening for some cheap beer occasionally. Don't know if it is still a CP employee hang out, maybe latter in the evening, but when I've been there it has always been very dead.

+1 for great burgers at Thirsty Pony. Fun place and the burgers have always been excellent.
