Cancellation Fee For Cedar Point Resorts

Please note that is has changed (I was suprised!) to $50.00. It used to be $25.00. Damn place sucks money out of my wallet when I'm not even there!

Yeah, I think we have been slowly coming to terms with this for quite some time now.

What I don't understand is, we all know you're going to be back, so why not just move the reservation instead of cancelling it?

You know that would have saved you $50 :)

Move it to when? I got downsized and don't have a job right now, my brother (who's family I have been going with for the past several years) broke his foot and needs surgery. Halloweekends would be questionable, at best. I may not be back til next year :(

But maybe not...

Oh, I did NOT pay $50.

Day trip MrScott?

Not with a 5 1/2 drive one way. I did that when I was a kid and will NOT do it as an adult.

You learn some things when you get old.

Yeah, I can only do the day trip with my 3 hour drive, and that's pushing it. I can't imagine 11 hours in the car in a day to go to CP.

Yeah, I can barely handle the (less than) 3 hour trip after a long day at the park. A 5+ hour drive after being up for 19 hours? Nooo way.

Theres always the Wal-Mart parking lot if you need a rest. ;)

This is why we always do weekend trips. That 4 hour drive is way easier when you haven't been up since 4 am. Hell, the last day of a 3 day trip, we're lucky to get into the park before opening, just takes a while to get moving after a couple days in the park.

Although, it looks like we'll be lucky to do our Halloweekends trip. One of our group went and got pregnant (its a good thing, except for the affect on CP trips) and although her husband wants to go, she doesn't want to go to just sit around the whole time.

Goodbye MrScott

$50.00 sounds awfully steep.

On a side note, I was talked in to making CP a day trip twice in one yeart. It is a five hour trip for me, so we left at five in the morning to get there when the gates opened. On both trips, the person that went with me swore that they would help me drive on the way home. One drove for an hour right out of the park and the other drove for about an hour off an on. I will never make that mistake again. The first time, I stopped right below Columbus and fell asleep at a rest stop for a while. I said that whomever wakes up first can start driving. Guess who was first?

Leave her at home to 'sit the house' (and or pets). That's the punishment for getting knocked up. ;)

You guys are lucky. My trip starting tuesday at 5 am is going to take 10-12 hours one way. I'd gladly do a 5 hour drive.
