Causeway Coasters switching back to Hardees?

In the Breakers Express room availability page on the official site, they have the following:

"Fast food and full service restaurants are located nearby. Hardee’s and TGIFridays® recommended."

So, it appears that Coasters will, once again, be Hardee's this year. Anyone notice the change in driving by, can this be confirmed?
Whenever i went pass coasters it didnt seem that many people where there and why stop there when you can get to the point fasster and eat at the same place by Iron Dragon?
Hardee's didn't do much better than Coasters, at least from the look of the parking lot. That location beggs for a big name chaing ala Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy's, etc... Too bad they are all located not too far away.
I know I'd never eat at a coasters again after my experiance at the one in the park.
What was your experience with the one in the park?

Being one of the area sups in that zone, i dont recall any horrific experiences, but am curious as to what yours was.
I did not get the chance to eat there when it was Hardee's, but the first year that it opened with the Coasters name, it was GOOD!!! The burgers were fresh and tasty; the fries (for a buck!) of the same style and quality as the thick ones in the park-only HOT!; and the shakes , wonderful!!

Last year we stopped, and I cannot guess what may have happened....so sad!! They had a really good thing there--and locals would have been willing to go a bit farther (around the corner/down the street..) for a taste of summer in the dead of winter, but .....*sigh*. Just for curiosity sake, is the food any good at the Coasters in the park??
My boyfriend and I tried to eat at the coasters outside of the park and the service was horriable and we were the only ones their. They were out of eveything so i got stuck eating nothing. Even their ice cream machine was broke i think their pop machine worked but that was about it! Oh and as i was there some chick that was serving us was eating fries while doing so!

My wife and I went into Coasters last year for a quick snack after the park. We walked in, stood there for at least 5 minutes, did not see a single employee, and then walked out. Yes, the place was open. There were no other customers, but I would expect to see an employee!

Unfortunately, my experiences with Cedar Point food service outside the peninsula have been universally bad. Well, almost. When Coasters opened, service was not very good, but the worst bit was that half of the items they served were not on the menu. For instance, yes, you could get chili-cheese fries, but there was no evidence of that on the menu...and none of the listed menu items included the cheese sauce. On later visits, I was lucky if I could find an employee; if I could find an employee sometimes it was a challenge to get him (or her) to acknowledge my presence.

I can also report spectacularly poor service at TGI Friday's since Cedar Point took over. Before CP owned the place, it was just like any other Friday's, but since CP started running it, the service there has just gone down the donniker.

Unfortunately, with a few exceptions, such poor service seems to be common for Sandusky. :(

Oh yes, Friday's at the Radisson is the saddest excuse for a Friday's I've ever seen. It's unthinkable how anyone could take an otherwise successful franchise and make it not work. Heck, I can't think of any place I've been that the service is that bad, and I work in downtown Cleveland!

Not to get Dave started, but the McDonald's out there is equally bad (not to mention nasty and filthy).

The fridays in the breakers is horriable too.. We waited about 40 mins just to get our server and then 20 more for drinks and don't even ask how long it too to get our meals. It wasn't even busy that day either.. makes you think. IS this a plot by cp to get us to eat in the park I think so!

My experience has been different. I've been to the Radisson Friday's several times over the past few years (both pre and post CP) and I've always had good service.

I think the Radisson Friday's has it's good and bad days. I've seen them both. When it's bad it can be a tiresome experience, but, like Walt, I've also had some pretty good service at that location also. I want to point out though that only the service has been bad, the food has always been good.
I've had a sour time or two waiting to be seated, but otherwise I've not had any problems with the TGI Fridays off of the Point. But as long as I get my ample Ice Tea refills, I'm happy.

Fridays did have horrible service. Workers were quitting there at quite a big rate. They had something like 2 hour waits with half the seats full. Hopefully this years staff can change the negative image the last one had.
In replie to WagonBoys question. It was early and the park had just opened. My friends and I stood in the rain waiting for them to open the door. They couldn't get the door open and we stood in the rain for another 15 mins. There were three of us. We each ordered a cheese burger, fries, and a shake. After we ordered a group of ten walked in and orded basicly the things we did. We at there for about ten mins they served the family of ten before us. We waited longer, and longer after about twenty mins had passed I went up to make sure there wasn't something wrong. The guy who was working the regeter replied
" Oh I'm sorry Wht did you guys have again?"
They over charged us on the milkshakes, our food was cold and I don't think it was cooked through in the middle, and worst of all I found a little surprise in my watery strawberry shake. A nice little may-fly.
Every time I went past the Coasters outside the park it was closed. There were no cars there, or anything. DId not see any reason to stop if no one was there. The one inside that park was fairly decent though. It was better than the Stockade all the time in the back, or the normal mac and cheese or roman noodles.
I was at Fridays the other night- 40 minute wait! Usually during the "off-season" the places are begging for you to come in. I drove by Coasters yesterday, but the Coasters sign was still up. Maybe they are putting it off for awhile.
Both of the places outside the park on the Causeway are really bad.The food quality at Coasters was sub-par, it was lukewarm junk. The place was clean, though. The McDonald's?? Well, the food was OK, nothing good or bad, just McDonald's food, but the dining areas and the restrooms were enough to gag a goat! Filthy! Both places need drastic facelifts. McDonald's has a business advantage because it catches everyone on their way in, before they've stuffed themselves on elephant ears and pizza and fries at CP. Coasters on the Causeway sees everyone drive by on the way home, tummies pooched out a mile with park food. I don't think even a makeover into Hardees or Taco Bell or anything else will save Coasters---wrong side of the street!

Magnum-

On behalf of Zone 34 and the Coasters Crew, I formally apoligize for your under par service that you received last season. With the stand being new, I will be the first to admit that things didn't always go as we expected. It took a while to work out all the kinks, and unfortunately at times we were not able to serve our guests in the manner that we should have. I encourage you to try us again this year. With a year under our belt, we hope to be able to supply everyone with a great 50's experience. Myself, the two other Zone 34 areas or the Coasters Supervisor that I am sitting in this room with right now encourage you to give us another chance this year. I don't think you will be disappointed...
