Cedar Point 2014 Crew Recognitions

Hey Guys,

I know we've all been to the park at some point during the 2014 season, leaving with some amazing memories and awesome photos to capture the moments. I couldn't help but to ask, "Which Ride Crew(s) or Live E. Performer(s)" would you want to give great recognition to? I know it's kind of a random act of kindness, but why not? We can say all of them or we can say a few. I'm just interested to see if anyone from this summer has made it into YOUR "Most memorable moments of 2014."
For me I really enjoyed the kids over at GateKeeper this year and the kids over at Blue Streak. They were all very passionate and they made the ride experience fun. Thank, you!

They were all good, but I'd like to give a shout out to the "oh yeah" guy from Iron Dragon. He kept people entertained while waiting to get on the ride.

Blue Streak. We spent a lot of time with them. Very friendly and efficient.

Gatekeeper crew was great this year. Probably not better than the first year - that crew was fantastic, but my favorite crew of 2014 none the less.

The Corkscrew crew did a fine job as well - great spieling.

Someone who doesn't get the recognition she deserves is Kristy Williams in the Marketing Department. Kristy seems to do a lot of the heavy lifting for events that I attend. While Tony (deservidely) receives lots of credit for how well things run, Kristy is working hard behind the scenes making things happen.

Yes, Kristy is one of the nicest people you can meet and gives 100% effort to make sure everyone has a nice time at the events. Definitely deserves the recognition.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I'd second the Gatekeeper crew. Very energetic and efficient. Didn't let the trains stack during my visits.

For Live E: the main female singer (former Luminosity performer? she looked familiar) put her heart and soul into each performance at Lusty Lil's this year. It was one of the better shows that's gone on there in some time. Great job all around from the dancers/ piano player and singers.

I love the lady who was "Lusty Lil" this year. Fantastic performer, fantastic show. What a set of pipes. The entire cast and crew of Lusty Lil's Revue was excellent.

I have several crews that were awesome-regardless of date/time-in no specific order. TTD because the crew could sense a 1st time rider & put them at ease, and kept the exciting vibe flowing. MF, because they are patient and show a true enjoyment for what they get to do. Magnum-they are just a funny & efficient crew! The live entertainment crews get a shout out too, thats some very physical stuff they put out many times daily.

Keep passing the fun along!

Corkscrew Crew--Great spiels, moving and kicking ass as much as they could given the operational changes this year, quite impressed

Gatekeeper--Spiels from Kyle, I mean common man the Frozen speil is fantastic. Not as good as Inagural crew, but pretty freaking close..Bloop

Gemini--All around badassery..Moving trains, spiels, and just working hard like bosses

Midnight Syndicate--Common, this was singlehandedly one of the most fresh CF Halloweekends ideas ever, all aspects of the show were incredible

Skyride--Can't ever give that crew enough credit, lot of work, manual labor intensive, & lots of quick decisions & movement. Always deserves kudos every year

Frontier Trail Shows--Really fun and interactive, enjoyed their company a few times before/after shows, really awesome groups

Luma--Best show yet, can't wait to see '15

Marketing Crew--Excellent job & events this year, so nice to see some of the new ideas from y'all. Keep it rolling!

Blue Streak, Magnum, Mantis, Mean Streak all stand out to me.

Most underated ride and crew is Thunder Canyon, they were always having a great time when I was there.

Special shout out the the Millennium crew the day after the Coaster Campout in the morning. My daughter and I got 15 loops in till we had to cry "No Mas!" After the first two loops were are drenched from head to toe. Every loop back into the station the de-loader had some new fresh comments including:

Welcome back. How was your ride on Cedar Point's 4th Water ride!

Welcome back riders. How was you morning shower!

Welcome back riders. How was your ride on Shoot the Force!

Welcome back. Wet, wild, and we know your ready for More!

Literally every time was something different. Cracked us up every time.

Also the Midnight Syndicate show crew as well. My daughter and I had as much fun speaking with Ed, Gavin, and the female singer as watching the show. It's funny that in the show they are these non-smiling intense figures but they couldn't be two of the nicer, more cordial people you will ever meet at C.P.

Maverick's crew was pretty cool for Coaster Campout. I loved the whole "go grab a s'mores and come back for another ride." That was an offer I had to take them up on.

Ah yes, those morning rides in the rain kinda made the shower trailers redundant, eh?

I never see this crew mentioned because they're not really a 'crew' so to say but I've worked it before....

The IT department! They deal with all the cash registers, the POS systems, the cash drawers, network connections and other various more 'behind the scenes' type procedures throughout the park. Even in orientation there is no shot out or anything for them (last I knew) even though they still have to go to orientation.

Are there seasonals in IT, because of the orientation? I just assumed the IT people were full time permanent employees.
