Cedar Point RCT3 Recreation

For those that had viewed one of my screenshots in another thread and wanted to see more, as well as those who hadn't yet but are interested in this recreation in Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, I will post some of my newest screenshots here. They can be accessed throught the below links, where they are hosted by Image Shack.

Blue Streak's entrance is down under the brake run. What you displayed is the exit.

The end of the Skyride by Corkscrew is brown and contains a food stand on the... east side.

Other than that, it looks AMAZING and I can't wait to see more!

Very well done. Good job.

Awesome I also have to say, Cant wait to see the finished product.. Also I think RCT should make a Cedar Fair Version like they made a Six Flags Version.

But Who Knows

Looks very good. One question I noticed the fence in the last picture. Are you out of room or are you in scenario editor where you can increase the size of the park? Ive been working on a rct3 cp creation too for bout a week but yours is better. Although all i have is 3 rides so far. Good luck with yours.

It does look amazing. When I play RCT I just build the rides. On RCT2 I built the Raptor and plan to in RCT3. I already built TTD with the strat coaster with the correct color scheme and everything. I also have built the Bluestreak and Magnum.

Oh and I forgot I built the Wicked Twister, too. I think it is awesome that they have the Sky Sling like VertiGo and a kind of maXair ride.

Just for for future use, you can edit your post by right above where your AIM address is by hitting edit. This keeps the thread organized.

Matty o 911,

Your CP creation looks great. I personlly don't like RCT3. It's weird to me. Im so used to RCT2, the controls. I just don't like the 39.99 price for it. I still think someone can make a better more easyer coaster tycoon game. :)

The back fence can go back about a further 100 squares in the RCT grid and I can cut back on some of the car park to give me more room. This should be just enough to fit in TTD at least, but some of the rides right at the back might miss out like Mean Streak.

AWSOME!!!

Can't you extend as far as you want with RCT3D? I can on my version at least...

I think you are talking about the park boudry. I am preatty sure you can't. The max I think is 254X254 or something around that.

I just got RCT3 today from target, they had it for 24.99. So far I have only made TTD in sandbox mode

Did they fix all the horrible glitches as everyone I know, including myself, returned ours because they had so many glitches it was near impossible to play.

If they fixed it I may buy it again. Please let me know.

They came out with a patch that GREATLY fixes most of the glitches. My only problem is memory. Even tho my cpu is new, I don't have nearly enough memory to run the park im working on now. Its 200x200 and has 3400 guests, but now that I switched cpu's (last one had a virus and had to sell it for scrap) this one can't handle it. If you have it, I hope you have tons of memory.

And, if you are ANY kind of CP fan, you will have TTD in your park. I certainly do :)

If you can't fit Magnum in then it's no recreation to me. lol

Regarding the limitations in the game, I think that if you wanted to create the most accurate recreation you would break it up into pieces. And it seems like the most logical way to do this would be to start with the different entrance gates. Although the Oceana gate may be on the same one as the Main gate or Marina gate recreations.

You would build the first section of the park up to the Marina gate and the original midway that stretches across the park to the Oceana gate. Next you would build the middle of the park all the way back to the Magnum gate. From there you would do the back of the park.

Of course it would kind of suck to have to split the park up, but until they expand the size of the maps even more, there's no way to make one consolidated park. But if they would happen to make the maps bigger, you would already have everything in place and all you would have to do is mimick the originals.

That was in RCT2. Right now I have a 1000x1000 park going in RCT3 (just having fun)... is this just me that can do it that big?
