Cleanliness

I know Cedar Point always gets commended on cleanliness but today (sunday) i was there and ate a 3 different food places and i could not find a table that was not very dirty.... has CP cut down on staff.. i mean there used to be people cleaning up i know that i should not expect restaurant quality but i also don't expect condiments.. garbage.... and birdsh$% on tables that food is too be consumed...CP seems to be slipping some in many areas... just curious if anyone else has noticed this stuff

I've also noticed this stuff at every park and major attraction I've been to.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Exactly, it's not like CP is suppose to sparkle.:)

And I don't think the birdcrap counts. An employee could clean a table one minute, and the birds would still come back and crap on the tables a minute later.
But that's no excuse for a table that hasn't been cleaned in well over an hour.

Have they snubbed out the Patio Relations group? In 03 and last year, the patio’s would be staffed with relations people that would answer guests questions, see if their food was good, help clean up, see how their day was going, etc, etc. Patio Relations (people were generally the most enthusiastic and friendly employees out there (haha, they offered me a spot but I hate patio’s ;)) and came in contact with every guest that sat down at the patio’s. I thought the interaction and service was great and always left the guest smiling.

If they were there and staffed, I doubt you’d ever see a dirty table let alone a person complaining of dirty tables. In addition there would be a food service employee with a bucket wiping down tables every half hour or so, and sweeps would sweep the area and take trash of the table (at least I did).

If it’s true then they’ve really ditched a great program which upped the guest service to a more personal level.

Myself, I have too noticed and increase in trash around the park. I've had to pick up more trash walking to and from break more times now than ever. I am also noticing a lot more cigarette butts than I used to but I'm sure It's tied in with the fewer sweeps I've seen out there now a days...

Maybe it was just me but the two days I was there (yesterday and today) I couldn't believe how clean it was. There were tons of people going around picking up cigarette butts, workers SWEEPING THE TREES so there wouldn't be spider webs in them, and workers at Coasters wiping all of the tables as soon as people left. On the downside, there were so many shops and food locations that I didn't see open at all on either day.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

They're cuttin down on staff and other things to save enough money for a new 900 foot coaster next year........

August 12th, 2005- Eminem and Lil Jon concert at Comerica Park.....I was right at the stage! 50 Cent sprayed water on me, Eminem was an inch away from touching me, and when the concert was over I walked outside and met Lil Jon's Eastside Boyz!

The last time I was there, the sweepers were doing too good of a job. We ate at the food stand by Snake River Falls exit, and we were throwing pieces of our Bratwurst buns to feed the birds, but a sweeper came along and swept it up while we were sitting just a few feet away.

I think personally, I would have gone up to the "pick up window" and asked for a rag to clean up a table. I know it "isn't our job" but I know that if my park needed some help, I wouldn't think twice about wiping off a table. We all know they are short staffed or maybe someone was supposed to do it and forgot. But as loyal park enthusiasts, the least we can do is help out on the little things. I have also picked up trash off the midway and I don't mind doing it at all.

^I agree with (and applaud) your willingness to help out with stuff like that - more people should do it! However, at $45/ticket, it almost seems immoral to help out! If you spend that kind of money to go into an amusement park, then intend to spend $20 more (on food thats worth $5), should you really have to 'chip in' and help out??? Where did all that money from the ticket go???

Now, I'm not saying I wouldn't grab a rag and clean it up, but it would irritate me to no end thinking of the money I've spent and how I ended up cleaning up a mess that should probably have been taken care of by the staff...
