closed all day thursday.

I was at the point today and it was closed all day, I heard they were pulling a section of track off for repairs, the frontier trail was closed and was told by employee it was to bring in a crane. Does anyone know more?
Damn...It better be open next week, by wednesday...That's when I'm planning on heading up to CP...since it's a 7 hr drive, I'll be mighty upset if I can't ride MF.

But does anyone know why they had to pull the section of track of? Does this mean that they will have to do a small pull through?

Could this have something to do with the fixing of the yellow train?

Pulling a piece of track off? Not gonna happen.
I heard it rolled back in testing, which would definitely be reason for it to be closed most of the day. I also heard it reopened at 6:05.

When the train rolls back in the middle of the ride they have to dismantle the train using a crane and then reassemble it. So, that's what the crane was for.

Good thing it's open, now. I hope there are no further problems with it.

I think backstreet girl is right when i drove past on my way out about 3:30 the red train was off the track and sitting in the grass.
I dont know if any others noticed how slow it is in the morning when cresting the third hill, thats where it probly rolled back.

Alright, I don't have any evidence, but I don't think that they would really want to remove an entire piece of track at a critical time during the season. Also, I don't think you want to put a train that cost a few hundred thousand dollars on grass. It doesn't seem to me that Cedar Point would like to run an empty train on a windy day with no dummies in it to even allow the CHANCE of a rollback.

I'm thinking it rolled back. I kinda knew it would happen sooner or later because those trains barely make the third hill when they're full of people in the morning! Especially the red one. For some reason, red always crests that hill slower than blue. Oh well. I guess they'll put the dummies in for morning testing from now on. Or at least a few in the front.

I watched the train roll back. Yes it did. And no they are NOT dismantling track! The wind played a major factor in the rollback. That is why they close it do to wind. When the train is empty and it is on its 1st morn run it is cold. once it gets warmed up it flies!!
Was there today and yep sure enough a rollback has occured.
Just please answer this question for me. Will the Force be ready for Tuesday. Im going to the Point the whole way from Pittsburgh and the only reason im going is to ride Millennium Force. Thanx.
It should be ready Tuesday. They were trying to get it reopened for today. It never ran while I was there but Backstreet Girl said it opened at 6. Unless another rollback occurs, you should be ok.
Hey thanks Bradwags i really appriciate it. I really hope its open!!!
now that the red train is off the track will they run thr blue and YELLOW?
hmmm...makes you wonder about the 7:00am Coastermania time! If I had it my way, I'd put Millennium Force at the end of the day at night!! That would rock!!!
