CP bottled water

^ I understand that, and as I clearly stated,

"And yet there is FREE water available all over the park, but that still doesn't satisfy some people."

I am referring to the people to whom FREE just isn't good enough.

You fail to hydrate, I bolus 1L NS through an 18ga IV, simple as that. Take your water cups or water fountains, or take the alternate, your choice.

I'm not understanding your point. Are you trying to say that there are people complaining that the little cups and water fountains are not enough "freeness?" I don't think there are.

There are people who complain that the free cups of water aren't large enough.

Take the free cups and wait in lines all day, or pass out, take the saline, and sit in a building all day wasting your day, take your pick lol.

I have come across many food stands that will fill my empty bottle of water up for free. It has never seemed to be an issue.

I was curious, how much is bottled water at CP? Hopefully not more than $1. I get thirsty sometimes in the hot summer, and would maybe buy one or two throughout the day. I wouldn't pay some obscene amount like $2, but $1 would be acceptable.

Wait a minute! This is the same person who asked if parking went up to $4! Yanking our chains.

The great thing is that the free cup of water isn't just a Cedar Point thing, it's the entire chain from what I've seen and heard.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

The water bottles ARE indeed 3.50 -- which is actually kind of high no matter what you think, since even Disney and Universal's bottled water is 2.50 -- though the reasons are pretty clear: they aren't there to keep you refreshed with water bottles....its there to make as much money as is possible off of you in the amount of time you are inside the park

...in conjunction with the consumer, who keeps purchasing the water at this price point, keeping it where it is.

Of course it's high, but all things are relative. Cedar Point is still a cheap ticket in my opinion, even at the gate with no discounts.

....with a drinking fountain, germs are going directly off the fountain into your mouth. However, I am less germophobic during the summer than in the winter when alot of stuff goes around.

Germs are going directly off the fountain into your mouth only if you are wrapping your mouth around the spigot rather than intercepting the stream of water flowing out of the spigot. And all the queue rails, condiment dispensers, toilet handles, coaster lap bars and restroom soap dispensers you touch during the day are filthy with germs.

For as long as I can remember, Cedar Point would give out a normal sized small (8 or 9 ounce?) cup of water with ice for free. Sometimes they would even give you a medium or large cup. (OMG!!)

It wasn't until about 7 years ago that they switched to the tiny 2 ounce cups.

These cups are pointless and defeat the purpose.

*Disclaimer: I know better than to argue with djDaemon, because what he says is always right and there are no opinions that can be made that differ his. So ignore everything I said above...

Well Steve, at least your last post technically included something positive.

There's hope for you yet.

Except that he was agreeing with a personal dig. So, par for the course, I'd say. :)

It's a shame there's literally no other way to hydrate yourself for free while in the park. ;)

I agree that the small cups are a strange, silly move by the park. But at the same time, the amount of complaining about it is FAR sillier.

I'll take a leap of faith with my immune system and general Biology and take a slug from the drinking fountain as I walk by.

Then again, I'm one of those crazy yahoos who still just drinks plain old water from the tap.

What's the big gripe all about? When STR opens back (with it's undisclosed fixes), you will be able to consume all the free hydration you want!

Geesch, it can't get any better than that.

You could always get the IV..your choice :P

I just laugh at those who have silly opinions, but fail to take others into account. I'll remain out of this discussion.
