CP Hotel reservations

Around November 2014, I received an email in regards to a special about Hotel Breakers. Basically, reserve and pay for a room by the end of the month(11/14), with your room reserved for any day until the beginning of June. With that, you also got a FREE Fast Lane Plus, for each registered guest, to use on any ONE day of their visit. This was a great way to amp up the promotion of renovated hotel, and I jumped at the chance. Question is, does anybody think something similar will happen in 2016? Maybe related to a preview night for new coaster? I'd hate to start booking rooms now, then have these offers pop up, missing a discount later on. And a call to CP just gets " we have nothing set in stone for 2016, please call back"

Unless you are dead set on a specific section of the hotel, there is no need to rush booking hotel rooms. It helps with the prices being set based upon projected occupancy. Promotions are more likely anyway if early bookings are below where they want them to be. After all, if the hotel is filling, why offer discounts or incentives?

Seems like a dumb question, but since I've never stayed at the hotel, I do not know.

Is the hotel open in the off season?

No. Only Castaway Bay is open year-round.

Well CoasterGuy15, if it seems like a dumb question, to you, why respond to it-not knowing anything about the hotel, or when it might be even open? It might be pricier compared to others in the area, but met our needs, so it's our preferred option when planning long weekends. jscII...we're simply needing a room with single queen bed. Those are few and far between-thanks for the info.

I read CoasterGuy's post as referring to his own question: he's never stayed there and didn't know if the hotel was open year round.

Well I asked the question because I always wondered. I just used that as defense because I knew someone was going to reply ¨HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW???¨ or ¨WHAT A STUPID QUESTION LOL¨ and yes people have done that in my short time on this forum... sadly

I would, however, stay at Breakers in the winter if it were open.

I don't know.... I'd be afraid Jack Torrance was around the next corner of the hall....

I think he meant his question was stupid, not yours.

I wonder why the park doesn't offer limited rooms available during the off season? I'm sure there are plenty of people who would use it for weddings, events, etc. Of course, if they don't it's because they've researched it and proven to not be profitable.

I suspect Castaway Bay satisfies the winter market.

Yeah, what's the point of staying at Breakers if the park isn't even open? And the weather isn't good enough to go to the beach. I think it would be a waste to even attempt that.

Nah. I'd stay there if the park wasn't open, and the beach was too cold. There's plenty of relaxing, and beers to be had. I guess my mind might change if it was actually an option, and it turned out there was nothing to do - but I still like to think I'd enjoy myself anyway.

I've stayed a Breakers when they park was open, and didn't go in the park at all - just this year I did that.

We opted to spend more time @ Hotel Breakers on closing day weekend. The relaxation level was so welcome(even with the weather conditions). We've mastered our personal ride 'line-up', and with benefit of early entry, usually satisfied with riding by 2pm. Then it's time for a break anyhow. We'll usually head back in around 7pm, feeling refreshed. I was able to afford 3 Breakers stays this season, and all were wonderful. The property satisfied our needs, and beyond. That might not be the case for all guests. Added bonus, adult beverages cheaper @ Surf Lounge compared to in-park.

All that said, what's the earliest you can reserve a room/ticket package in advance? I like to book early and use Easy Pay so everything is all paid for by the time I get there, and this upcoming season I'll need more time than usual to save up a comfortable budget. (Book early, go late).

You can book rooms now, but i'm not sure about when the ticket packages will be available. I have also spent many many nights at Breakers this year, 20 to be exact, and yes it is a great hotel. I spend so much time in it, it's so relaxing!

I called about that a few days ago and they said to call back around mid December for the ticket packages

I checked on rooms for May 20th- rooms were available with the Ride and Refresh package and promotional code PASS rates were available for selected rooms. I didn't check other dates- but this is Pass holder apprenticing weekend. It's about $30 more per night than 2 years ago. Not bad considering hotel upgrades and inflation.
