Crazy "Stupid" Riders

It's no wonder why people get killed on coasters. Some people love to break rules and act like idiots on these rides.

When I was on Magnum the other day, this guy was halfway out of his seat. Of course the ride ops did not make him put his lapbar all the way down and he never fassened his seat belt as he gladly professed. Once we reached the 2nd hill he was standing up with one hand on the handle and the other trying to touch the top of the 1st tunnel!!!! The whole way back on the bunny hops he decided to stand up and put his one leg out of the car...even while his photo was taken! He was so proud of himself and I pretty much thought he was another stupid jerk that is going to be the next person killed and so the good old government can make up some safety regulations which make no sense.

Has anyone else seen stupid behavior on rides or in the park?
That's pretty stupid. The worst I've ever seen is at Kings Island. I was next in line for the stand-up coaster, King Cobra, and some guy had somehow gotten himself completely out of the shoulder safety harness as they had just left the station so they had to shut it down for about 20 minutes as they decided what to do with the guy. Thankfully, they got him out of the seat and made him leave. People like that won't understand what they're playing with until they lose a body part or their lives.

Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill?
Answer: You don't...
Yeah. People like to toy with death. Riding a roller coaster is completely safe unless you get idiots, who in turn cause the fears that coasters are not safe. It's a shame that people can't just enjoy the ride as it was intended for. What a shame that one idiotic person can ruin a whole coaster reputation by falling off or something of that sort.
A couple of weeks ago at the Po!nt, a guy in front of me on the Magnum actually broke his shoulder at some point on the ride. Supposedly he had two artificial legs and a very bad back and never should have been on in the first place. Maybe someone else could clarify this one.

Second only to safety stupidity are those people who wear caps, unrestrained sunglasses, and other loose items on rides going 60+ MPH, and those going upside down and sideways several times.

Last year, on the Magnum, a smarmy sort of a man got on the train a couple of cars in front of my son and I, and, by the turnaround, smart-aleck's hat had worked itself loose, and flew by my face. Had I caught it, I would have treated it as a baseball fouled into the stands---the hat's mine!
It's all fun & games until someone loses an eye.
