Extra Point! Buddy Icon Trouble

I'm not sure how many of you use the new Buddy Icons for AIM on Cedar Point's offical website (Extra Point!), but every time I "right-click and save" and set it up to be my new icon, it shows up as my icon but it never animates. Does anyone have the same problem, let alone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Yeah I have the same problem too. I would love to use them but it never seems to work fo me ether. Can anyone help us.

try normal clicking on it. Usually on aim buddy icons, if you just normal click on it will go right to the AIM. Also, make sure you saved it as a gif. If you do the right click thingy.

Ok, talk to you guys later got to go to work ugh.

Nope, they make you save it. It doesn't link to AIM. :(

I noticed that they saved it as a .bmp and not a .gif. I wonder if that has something to do with it?

Edit: I tried saving it as a gif. but it goes right back to a bmp.

.bmp files aren't animated.

When I click on it, it is trying to fire off aim to save it (I don't have AIM here at work). If I right click on it, it saves as a .gif. Not sure what you guys are doing wrong.

for me it does the same thing with regards to saving as .bmp. i tried right clicking on it, 'email picture' and when it drops into an email, then you can drag it to whatever folder. this worked for me.

If your not having fun, what are you having? Have Fun !!!

It is a stupid Internet Explorer thing. I have the same trouble. Try another browser.

Are you running on Windows XP? Windows XP actually has an issue where it causes your browser to fall into a "trance" so to speak and will only save images as bitmaps; no matter what the type. We had this on one of our computers and running Windows Update and a virus scan fixed the problem.

Ok, thanks DBCP, I am on Windows XP. I'll give that a try.

Wow, someone reads these boards! ;) Because the problem is now fixed on the website. :)

I can believe it. About 2 months ago I mentioned how they listed TTD as being the first Giga Coaster, only for it to be changed within 24 hours to Strata Coaster.

Sounds like idiot repellant. :) The less animated images in the world the better.
