Favorite food place

I like Famous Dave's. They have good food, good alcohol and we can have them apply the parking fee to the dinner bill. Never been able to eat at Chick-fil-a since they won't open on sunday...what was CP thinking by letting them come into a park that is open for such a small amount of time during the year?

^^If you choose unbreaded meats like the Mandarin Chicken, you'll save yourself quite a few calories (250 cal vs 500 with Orange). They have even healthier choices with Mushroom Chicken (130 cal), String Bean Chicken Breast (160), & Broccoli Beef (150).

I usually get the Mandrain Chicken. a full serving of MC sauce adds 70 cal so I usually ask for that to be put on lightly.

I want to say the Panda Bowl was $7.99 last year. I got it a few times. Good stuff.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

1. Midway Market. Nice variety, something for the whole family, dessert and free refills all you can eat. Cost a little more that burger or chicken basket and drink at a stand. Plus A/C and no bugs or bees.

2. Los Gatos. Good tacos and Macho Nachos.

3. Happy Friar and Hot Potato. Great fries with toppings

4. Chick-fil-A. The shakes are great, especially cookies and cream.

5. Game Day grille. I love their homemade potatoe chips that come with some of their sandwiches.

I also have to vote for Midway Market. I think I went three times last year and the food and service was great all three times. Particularly compared to any non-chain option in the park I don't think you can go wrong.

My vote goes to Famous Daves if you're looking for a nice sit down meal.

My next choice would be Panda Express.

We went to FD's on closing weekend last year, and I was un-impressed. I just chalked it up to being the end of the season because I have been to other FD's and usually enjoy it.

The name excapes me at the moment, the fry stand right outside the stadium formerly known as Oceana. Happy Friar is it?

Midway Market gets our vote. The kids love it, and I have to admit that I have eaten there by myself on more than one solo trip.

The only slightly bad news for this year is that it looks like they are not doing the $1 off discount with Point Perks.

Any place that sells macho nachos.

I fondly remember macho nacho days at the employee cafeteria. Its truly something to look forward to as well as the trips to the restroom later.

Also am totally into the orange chicken at PE.

^totally agree with the orange chicken. That stuff is just incredible. And if I need some spice I go for the Kung Pao chicken at PE also. That stuff is hot hot hot! :)

Now that Cedar Point is adding Subway inside the park.. that will be my favorite place.. a very welcome addition in my opinion. :)

I am curious to see what the mark up is on Subway in the park. Currently Subway around here has a deal for "any footlong for 5 dollars". I'm assuming a footlong in the park will be in the ballpark of 8.99.

That's true, but that's expected at Cedar Point. After all it's 3 dollars for a bottle of water there, so I'm going to assume you might be right about that. But, still it's healthy and it's a good thing.

I'd rather they get a Jimmy John's. Much better subs.

I wonder what would happen in the very off chance that they would put in a Primanti Bros.

Same here John, though I'd bet they're generally less healthy. Subway is a smart addition, especially considering CP simply can't make any food that doesn't totally suck and/or isn't grossly overpriced.

Naw.. I have read the fat content of both Subway and Jimmy Johns (and the calories). Subway is a much healthier choice.

Fat isn't the only thing that goes into a healthy sub.

Besides, remove the liberal helping of Mayo from Jimmy John's and there probably isn't much difference.

Jimmy John's tastes better and provides better options.
