FINALLY and article on MF in a Chicago paper

the Chicago Tribune has finally deemed something outside of Chicago as being newsworthy...you can read it here...

i swear,if it's not the Cubs, it's not news. makes it hard to read the papers here if you are not a Cub fan(which i am NOT)...

can't believe they cancelled the Simpsons after all these years...now look sad and say D'OH!!
Yeah! Actually admitted there are thrills to be had away from SFGA.
Oh yeah, the first thing I am looking for in the Chicago Tribune is a story about MF! (I dont think so!). Get a grip and stop complaining about where you live. MF is a newsworthy coaster but outside of Ohio, some papers might not feel its that important to print.
Typically, the first thing a Chicago native is looking for in the Trib is a Cubs win.

Also typically, they are disappointed.

why do you think i am looking to move to Ohio, Chitown? i really hate Illinois, and if we weren't tied here by a 97-year old grandmother, we would move tomorrow!! i hate the Cubs too!! so of sourse i get tired of hearing about them. besides, what's wrong with a little hope for some outside news???? this isn't the Gulag you know. it's Illinois. and it 's not the first thing i look for in the paper. a friend called me and told me it was there. just thought i would inform all of my friends here that there was another perspective on MF out there for them to see. besides, MF was big news everywhere else in the WORLD!!! why not in Illinois???

Actually I hate the Cubs to. I am a diehard Sox fan. I will leave you alone about hating Illinois but if the only reason you are moving to Ohio is to get closer to CP than I worry about you. Still heading to CP from ""ILLINOIS"" later this month and I cant wait.
nah..CP's just an added bonus. Ohio, as you wil see, is like Illinois, but nicer, more laid-back, more mellow, all that stuff...i just like it there. besides, gas is cheaper, the tollways better/nicer, all those things that add up to "I hate Illinois!!"...

Okay, I won't belabor the Ohio-vs-Illinois argument, as it will only lead to flaming, Jeff will close the discussion, and nothing will be accomplished.

While I agree the Ohio Turnpike is a lot nicer than the Illinois Tollroad (remembering, of course, the IT goes through a lot more congested areas), the Islands make great getaway places, and traditional Sandusky is probably very much underappreciated by many who visit CP (and, sometimes by those who live there), I caution all about just one thought: Once outside of the Chicago area, don't, DO NOT think that piece of thin bread with tomato sauce and cheese is a pizza. For the best thrill rides, you must come to Ohio---for real pizza, you must come to Chicago!

Dont forget about the hotdogs!!!! Coasters definitaly go to Ohio. I made a rant about this discussion only because servo has only said negative things about the Chicago area which I think shouldnt be brought up here. An amusement park has nothing to do about where you live but the Illinois bashing always seems to come up with servo.
