Finally another Blog entry

I think the contracts are up this year. I seem to remember hearing somewhere that all CF parks will have either Coke or Pepsi (depending on the bids) starting in 2010.

Sorry if i offend anyone but i think Pepsi needs to go and bring in Coke. I like coke products better. Not just the Classic coke.

Thats just my opinion

Same here I remember being a kid when they had Coke products up until Snake River Falls was built when they went to Pepsi. As that ride was/or still is sponsored by Pepsi.

Don't even think about getting rid of mt dew/ pepsi. My girlfriend would be devestated.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Pepsi is fine with me but bring in all of the Pepsi family. Nothing would taste better than Cherry Pepsi on a cool Halloweekends night. Is Dr. Pepper still part of Pepsi?

The Paramount Parks renewed their Coke contract just before the acquisition, so they'll be there for awhile. The question is more about what the original parks will be after this year.

It's interesting that they poked a hole between marketing and the former executive office. It always struck me as being incredibly weird that it was the same building, yet marketing's door was behind it, the executives in front. Now that the boss has moved to his castle to look down on the kingdom, hopefully they can stretch out a little.

I don't think so. I think they have their own company with 7up maybe?

However, Dr. Pepper can readily be found at the park. I've seen it in both Coke and Pepsi environments.

I'm happy with Pepsi in the park. I love a refreshing Sierra Mist and Cherry Pepsi, both of which aren't available in Canada.

I know that CP and Geauga Lake are Pepsi! Kings Island and Kings Dominion are coke! I still wish they would just sell both! It would be nice! But Either way I still stop at Speedway and fill my cup for much cheaper and you get alot! Good deal!!!

Wonderland is Coke and the prices would make people around here sick. I believe a bottle in a vending machine goes for $4. Vitamin water goes for $4.75.

Of course, with the Canadian dollar now well under parity with the US$, that $4.00 translates to about $3.20 for American visitors to Wonderland. Actually about equivalent to other CF prices.

I heard once that Dr. Pepper is made by one and the other has the distribution rights or something along those lines, anyone know the truth? I'll make do with either soft drink choice, but any ketchup but Heinz is still uacceptable.

Anybody notice on the pic of TTD tower on T&T blog that the countdown lights seem to be missing, jst wondering if this is an old photo or they really did remove them.

You can't see them in that picture. The lights don't go down that far on the tower. They're one more level up in that picture.

Dr. Pepper is owned and made by 7-Up.
Itis distributed by Coke under a contract that was agreed on in 1999.That contract is about to expire in the summer. But Coke is expected torenew the contract by June. The funny thing here is Coke gets 95% ofthe profit. 7-Up only gets 5%.
Its funny that this was brought upbecause i was just talking to the coke and 7-up vendor about this theother day. They have done the same thing with the Monster Energy drink.7-Up owns and makes the product but Coke sells it.
Oh and i totaly agree on the Ketchup thing. If it is not Heinz aint right!

I'm hoping Pepsi stays. I really enjoy going to the park on a hot day and enjoying a nice fresh Mt. Dew anywhere in the park. I usually go to the restaurants to get a glass of Mt. Dew because the price on the vending machines are insane.

As I recall the restrooms near Space Spiral aren't that bad, nor are the ones by the Red Garter.

Having used virtually every restroom in the park at one point or another, my renovation order would be:

1. Magnum
2. Frontier Trail
3. Challenge Park / Soak City
4. Season Pass Center
5. Wildcat

Best restrooms:
Breakers East / Conference Center
Camp Snoopy

Most crowded restrooms:
Matterhorn / Scrambler
Johnny Rockets (single)
Famous Dave's

^ Best restroom has to be the one in challange park. The one everybody uses before going on Ripcord, just in case! :)

I think the Wildcat ones have been redone. If they haven't they're in fine shape.
