Firehawk

I do not know where else to post this so I am posting it in the general section:

At the first annual Returner's Party at Kings Island, they revealed that X-Flight will, indeed, be installed. It is renamed as Firehawk, and is to open Memorial Day Weekend 2007.

Man am I chagrined. Over at PKI Central, I suggested two weeks ago that they would name it Thunder Force or Steel Hawk.

Let the record reflect that I was just kidding at the time.

Just as an update...the powers that be at KI are allowing posts on the subject of Firehawk. There was some confusion at first which led many, including those that attended the event, to believe the information wasn't to be posted online. We are now told that this is not true and discussion on Firehawk is allowed. *** Edited 2/4/2007 6:54:01 PM UTC by kirk06***

Now that we know there really isn't any point of deleting this topic. Too bad I was looking forward to Monday.

The only new information here is the name. Any specifics on theming?

I predict it will have:

(1) fire

and

(2) hawks.

Hey! They could dig up Jungle Larry and have a Flaming Birds show! I'd pay good money to see that.

Can you use capital letters at the beginning of your sentences and whole words within it?

Sorry, you left yourself open for that one. :)

If the track is green then how can they name it Firehawk?

Shouldn't the track be red.

Why? Copper burns green.

In fact, depending on the chemical makeup of the item being burned, you can get anything from Red, Orange, or Yellow to Green or even Blue, Indigo or Violet.

Flames aren't just red or orange.

The track won't be green. According to the press release, the colors will be red and steel gray.

They must have a pretty aggressive construction schedule to get it open by Memorial Day. That's less than 4 months away.

I also don't see how they count 14 coasters unless Avatar is being counted as a coaster.

Just so long as it's not moly red.
