The best place to go is the BoatHouse in the marina. Instead of wasting all that money getting greese infested food get a good meal over at the boat house. It has a reasonably priced lunch menu . Inside the park there's a BBQ place near the mean streak in Fronteir town by that weight guesser game that has these tasty Pork BBQ sandwhiches. And you get your choice of these tasty side dishes.
Have to mention a few favorites NO season is complete without sampling.

Definitely cheeseburgers from Stockade! Then stroll on over to Lusty Lil's and wash it down with a beer!!

I used to love the Belgian Waffles (ice cream ala waffle sandwich) but I have not seen it served in the past few years

Are we there yet??
Well this isn't really about the food part but does anybody remember when I made the exact same discussion board about food in about November. Well about the food I would have to say the french fries from the midway, and did anyone ever go to the BBQ place near the giant wheel. It was an open grill type thing because I never went there but in the back of my head I remember looking over there and seeing them cook.
THE FRENCH FRIES ARE THE GREATEST

Is it May yet????? Don't think I can wait much longer.

sorry didn't remember your post in november i just wanted to know. ymm the frozen banannas sound really good!!

magnum of MF now that is a real question.

I also like the Giant Cookies that you can get at Round-Up and a couple other places. They are awesome. Soft and chewy.

I will always regret not going there. I don't know why I never did. The front end of the trail won't be the same without that huge cloud of BBQ chicken smoke and steam! It always smelled soooo great!

Tim B,
The BBQ Place by the Giant Wheel was a GREAT change of pace from the other food offerings at the Point. We tried to have the chicken dinner at least once during the season.
I remember back in'82 (see photo in info section)when CP first strated offering the BBQ. The chicken dinners would be offered on Saturdays in July & August. We would make sure we ran our break schedule so we could get the dinner and then eat it in the break area.
I hope CP finds a spot to offer this again this season.

I never ate there either, despite the heavenly smell. I can't believe that Cedar Point's planning folk are too dense to open a new stand with that product. At $5/chicken boob (or whatever it cost), that's a lot of margin, you would think. Besides, I get hungry just thinking about it.

How is the food at the breakwater Cafe? What do they offer, Prices, speed of service? *** This post was edited by coaster lover on 4/5/2000. ***
If CP does the chicken BBQ again, I will not miss the opportunity.

Last year, I think it was, they had a temporary stand set up on the concrete just past the Giant Wheel and before you get to the Red Garter, that was selling grilled burgers. Nothing fancy, just a big hot grill, regular or cheeseburgers, and that was it. I think they had a drink wagon there, too. It was a very crowded little spot on the fence. I think people like the impromptu nature of things like that. The burgers sure were good.
