Front Seat question

Can you wait for the front seat at anytime during the day? or can you only opt to pick it until the front seat queue is full?

Tim

You can usually join the line and wait up until about an hour, give or take, until park closing. Then it's first-come, first-serve. This gives them a chance to file everyone waiting for the front through, and not have to send trains with only people in the front seat. Same applies to the back seat.

The exact details vary year to year a bit depending on decisions about the operations. I will state what hasn't changed much.

You can wait for the front row at any time except when approching the end of the night. The front row wait is usually excessively long. The employees doing crowd control won't be happy when the line extends to the turnstyles making it more difficult to fill the other rows. Someone might get pissed off if you move from the front to the second row.

If the line for the front row is getting excessively long, what most of us will do is tell everyone waiting for the front to get as close as they can to the person in front of them. That will always make the line physically shorter. Now, if the line is still condensed and it is getting close to the turnstiles, we will tell people that the line for the front is too long and they must choose another row.

At the end of the night, we cut off the front row at a certain point when we know that there aren't going to be that many trains. When let's say, we know that there are going to be three trains that will be dispatched, we'll announce that and we will keep the first three groups in the line, and then after that we tell the others to find other rows.

But, other than that, you should always be able to wait for the front row.

Mmmmmm all this talk of the station makes me miss it. lol that sounds corny but the Millennium Force queue and station is the best. I'm listening to the station music and speil right now. :)

Raptor's station is absolutely awful for this. The front row queue held about 3-4 trains, and on a ride like that, most will take nothing less. That's some of the quickest crowd control work on any ride in the park if the trains are on interval.

I dont see why anyone would wait for the front seat of Millenium Force anyway. I, personaly, think that the front seat is boring. The only good thing about it is the wind in your face.

I see how MF's front seat works so is this how other big coasters work too. Are you able to wait for the front and back seats for other coasters.

I'd have to agree about the bugs part...thats why you ride back row at night and front in the afternoon...also its a lot better in the back at night cause you have no idea where you're going unless you've memorized the ride...

What I noticed last weekend, is that instead of letting a trainload of people into the station at a time, they were letting a station-full of people in at a time. Does that make sense? They didn't pack it or anything, but they let enough people in that there were about 3-5 trains worth of people at each seat.

If those lines got long enough that they were back to the turnstyle area, they would move people around so it was never crowded, just nicely "active".

It was pretty nice, because I waited for the 2nd row for the first time since the ride opened. I used to only be able to sit there if I lucked out.

If the front seat line is past the railings you can't wait for the front seat. Try the second seat.

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.

e x i t english, I just wanted to respond to that. I only noticed that once this year that they let the station get up to 3 train loads in. I guess it depends on who's working in that part of the station. My last trip they were letting 2 train loads in which I think is perfect for Millennium Force in the station. I wish they would do the same for Magnum. It wouldn't be so confusing when you get in the station.

ExitEnglish, I finally noticed that they have let more then train loads in the station, they let the whole station fill up. I guess it depends on who's working in the station that day. This past weekend, they had the station overcrowded a lot. A couple times that I rode it, they let the regular one train load in at a time, like they normally do.
