Frontier Town losing flare

I'm sure they will plant more trees. Cedar Point always cares about there looks!

THERE LOOKS!

THERE CASTLE!

Goodbye MrScott

That area is the last area of Cedar Point that had a real theme. Lets hope they understand that. Their past history of removing trees and adding concrete is well documented.

They do have a lot of trees there though....

I think that they will have all the concrete down by the end of the year so next year all they will have to do is add trees, grass, flowers and bushes. In 2 or 3 years once the trees grow it should be beautiful and shady again

2 or 3 years? I think you're missing a couple 0's. No amount of Miracle Grow could pull that off.

Have you ever heared of poplar tree. They grow really fast. And plus they could buy a tree thats is already grow to a somewhat big size and have it moved to the site. People do that when they build new houses and wants trees there that are not small.

It depends on the size of the trees too. Cedar Point could go that route, but I'm sure they would rather just by small little Trees from a landscaping company that will probably take 10 years to grow fully.

I'm aware that they could plant a full grown tree. But their past track record shows that they prefer to get smaller trees and let them grow. It is quite expensive to transplant a fully grown 20-30 foot tree.

Goodbye MrScott

I am so sad. I can't believe it took me six posts later to figure out the thing about pieces of flair. That's from Office Space. Stamp the stupid stamp on my forehead.

Or better yet, on half the people on this board who are responsible for the endless amounts of sludge I have to dig through.

Frontier Town won't lose its flair, or theme. I was pleasantly surprised to see Skyhawk as an addition that required no leveling of trees and buildings, and really, whats missing now? WWL, but its being replaced by something new, so really, I don't see much being changed by Maverick.

Actually, Fontier Land almost got fired from the park for only having 26 pieces of flair, when it is required that all sections of the park have at least 29 pieces of flair.

LOL. That was so bad, I'm gonna need you to come in on Sunday too. Yyyeeaaahhh.

As far as trees in the park, it's obvious that they are fond of the hybrid poplar that Penn State invented.

The downside to the whole thing is the dang white fluff and sticky pods that come from them. They sure do grow fast though.

Ensign Smith, THANK YOU. I was wondering if there were any other office space fans out there. :)

Mission to come aboard granted.

Office Space was the first thing that came to mind when I read the thread title.

Lets hope this is a coaster that will bring a lot of people in its line.
That way, everyone will go there, MF, or TTD. Instead of just MF and TTD..right in the morning. *** Edited 7/20/2006 2:00:35 AM UTC by DrunkinMonkey***

Oh believe me DrunkinMonkey, thats all my wife and I have been talking about on our trips past Maverick. While we will be the first in line for it, we also cant wait to see it "hurt" the other lines. :)

Like Magnum....can anyone here (who was around in 1990) seriously believe how tiny the line is now???

Everytime we go, we think "just imagine the day when MF's line is this small". Wierd, but the inevitable fact remains, it will happen someday! :)

"in the year 2000...."

Of course, the Office Space reference is noticed by everybody, but the Young Frankenstein allusion goes unheralded. Good job, Jugga (I think it was you...)! *** Edited 7/20/2006 2:27:26 AM UTC by Boris the Spider***

I remember when Magnum was a 2+ hour wait on slow days, let alone during the weekends...I'm glad I didn't waste much time waiting to ride it before MF, because I can more than make up for the missed rides now.

Well, the office space wasn't noticed by everybody. ;) Sorry, I have to admit that making fun of myself can be fun.

And...

I too am amazed at the line for Magnum, and already, the line for MF has gotten significantly smaller over the years....my how time changes everything
