Gatekeeper POV

There's a difference between a forest and a few trees and grass. No one is asking for a forest.

But complaining about the lack of grass on a project that is still under construction is equally ridiculous.

Brandon

I asked about grass during the PointBuzz tour. They said there will be lots of grass. I believe them.

Even once the project is completed, landscaping takes time to mature. A lot of folks love to nit pick around here. LOL

^^^ Right! Grass/trees doesnt grow overnight! By the late May/ early june it should look a lot better in that area.

You guys do realize there is this magical thing called sod, right? This magical stuff can be installed in a day and BOOM, loads of grass everywhere.

No trees were harmed in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Sure. But they typically do not put sod down until the end of the project. Seems to me people should wait to judge the entire project when the entire project is actually finished. And even then, trees/shrubs take some time to mature.

I was wondering about the gravel areas. Are you guys saying they put tons of gravel in, just to take it all out and put grass? Sounds interesting.

I'm shocked no one has posted this yet... http://youtubedoubler.com/89Xc

I tried to post that yesterday, but the doubler site gave me an error and I never went back.

Sod is expensive and comes with baggage: more work to install, requires more water to keep green. I've seen well-installed sod pulled up at the end of the season in the same strips they were delivered.

Not that it doesn't have its benefits. It's great for smaller, highly visible areas. Those large areas, under the ride and outside the park, are better off seeded.

I was thinking the exact same thing on the doubler. I created the same setup by playing the 2 views in full screen side by side on my dual monitors and it was breath taking. I actually preferred having the videos swapped left to right as it feels more open as the track does not merge together at the bottom center.

Maverick Didn't look as good as it does now. so get it time trees gas. don't grow over night.

Would you have rather Tony not posted POVs for another week so you can see planted grass seeds? Come on now

REALLY! One has to ask oneself...is the grass have full or half empty?

Maybe I'm missing something, but what was the reason for waiting until May 6th to release them? I remember talk about there was a reason why but I'm not sure now. Was it because it was actually two POVs?

Is the grass really greener?

More Importantly: How will they keep the Stay Puffed Marshmellow Man off the grass?

(And what if he buys a Fast Lane?)

No, the low areas within the fencing will remain gravel. This way landscapers won't have to go in the danger zone to cut grass, etc. There will be lots of grass around the ride outside of the low areas.
