Going to Cedar Point with 3 people

Alright I got a question concerning riding the rides when you have a group of just 3. I noticed most coasters and rides may be seated by sets of 2 at a time so how does it work for the 3rd person? Can they pair you with someone or are you screwed into pairing up again while someone has to wait??
The 3rd person can ride by their self.

Ok it seems that would work with the rides that don't have lengthy lines but how about rides with long lines such as the MF, TTD, Raptor and Mantis? Do they let you ride solo on those?
On MF and TTD I have seen people ride solo but ride ops try their hardest to find other single riders to pair up. On Mantis if I remember correctly, you can board and then most likely they find a group of 2 or 3 if possible to fill in or the people behind you if their group fits. Correct me if I'm wrong!

3 TTD rides in 2 hours!

Yeah, I have been to the park many times as a single rider. With TTD they do the best they can to pair you up. For MF they usually wait until everyone is waiting by the gates and match up people riding single. Raptor and Mantis usually are no problem because there are always groups of two to fill up most the seats. The rest they pretty much let you ride by yourself most the time.
MF will take a single rider from the middle and place them either near the front or back of the train (with another single rider), whichever is closer.

They won't take a single rider and move them towards the middle with another single rider...that's not their policy. It always has to be from the middle towards either end...then they fill in the middle seats with more couples.

I was in a group of three today, really four but the fourth would ride anything, but they on Millenium Force and Wicked Twister, they would try to pair up the people who were riding by theirselves with other people, but it wasn't a big deal if they had to ride by theirselves. As for any other ride, they really didn't care as long as the train was full. Not even on Top Thrill Dragster, they just sent you on your way and there was always a train with at least one person sitting by theirself.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

Groups of three aren't bad. I go in a threesome fairly often, and you just have one person ride by themselves. Sometimes they pair you up, sometimes they don't.

"If you're standing in an uncomfortable position, that means you are in the right position because you are riding Mantis!" - Mantis ride op doing spiels on closing day.

I have always gone in pairs of threes. I am an only child so it is just me and my parents. We've never had any trouble with it accept to make sure we are on the same train!!

120 mph in 4 seconds, 420 feet high, 20 seconds of pure thrill and terror--OH YEAH!

Well on Raptor and Mantis they are 4 across and usually when they have 3 in a row on those rides they are happy.
