GW move, was it really necessary???

While I was over by MF on Friday watching all of the confusion, I began to look around at area between Mantis and MF's final turn. Looking at the area it looks like GW could have still fit in the area without creating bottlenecks or any other problems w/ the people over by MF. Granted, MF's final turn is right were GW use to be, but it looks as if they had enough space to be able to just move GW over a little toward Mantis or even infront of the MF turn. I like the lake breeze on GW over in it's new home, but the ride itself looks as if it has been shuved off to the side there. Plus it don't make ant sense having two scenic rides (GW and Sp.Spiral) so close to each other. GW was a trademark in it's old location, and I trully beleive that it could have remained there dispite MF.

That would've created a bottleneck, but anyways Giant Wheel looks better in its new location
Yeah, they moved it so they won't have to do it next year with the rest of the boardwalk project!:P
If it would have stayed there, it would have created a major cramping of space. Imagine having the SS Screen, the GW, Train Station, and Final Turn right there. That would look too cramped, and would make that area look to dense compared to other areas of the park. Personally, I love GW's new location. It will give a great sense of nostalgia when the Boardwalk Project is in full effect. *** This post was edited by CABEWNCP on 6/25/2000. ***
It had to be moved. It was sinking.

The only way you could move it is if you take it apart, so why not move it to a place that it won't be blocked by that nasty ugly screen?

And I thought they just rolled it down the midway into it's new home! ;)

I must admit that when construction first started on MF, I thought there would be enough room to leave the GW there..I even questioned Jeff on this. But after seeing it, there is no way they could have left it there. If you are going to move, why just move it over a little and cram it? Move it to a more suitable location.

I think it looks great where it is at and will fit perfectly with the rumored boardwalk project. My only complaint (DT lovers don't read) is that the warehouse it is next to should be taken out and replaced with a Cyclone. That would be my first step in the boardwalk project. DT, in my mind, is a huge, huge eyesore on the lakefront.
I think even DT lovers would agree. They really should move this ride to a new location. It's a great ride (as the lines show) but it blocks to much of the water.

They could however build rides behind the Space port built on an Avalanche. There is tons of room back there.

Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!

I don't understand why CP insists on putting TONS of concrete in with thier new rides. The Power Tower, Millennium Force, and Giant Wheel areas all have massive areas of concrete. It looks like a waste of space to me. Put some trees in instead of concrete.

magnum of MF now that is a real question.

I find trees very difficult to walk through in crowded areas. Case in point: the trees in front of Red Garter. If they didn't mean so much to the "feel" of the trail, I'd say ditch them.
