Halloweekends...BOO

Gang,

I am also HUGE into Halloween as well and actually co-own and run a haunted house in MI during the season with our local blood program and was wondering what you all thought of Halloweekends at the point during the last few days of the season?? I think the park is decorated fairly well with some cool scenes and animatronics..My only beef is with the haunts themselves which BTW look great but theres not enough live actors IMHO..

All in all they do a good job with the atmosphere and quite frankly its my favorite time at the point all yr..I mean to combine 2 of my 3 passions in life together is simply heaven for me (the other being MSU of course.:)..)Coasters and Goblins..ohhhyeah!!I like it even more than Coastermania and Opening weekend actually!!

For those interested check out my halloween page too and give me some opinions...

FYI also..we have a halloween gathering as well during those weeekends with some of my online Halloween group and would love to combine it with some CPplacers as well if anyones interested..Look for details to materialize later in the season...

I wish they would extend the season all the way to the end of October, and also bring the Oktoberfest back. The schedule could look like this:

Sept. 9,10 and 16,17 - Bonus Weekends
Sept. 23,24 and 30, Oct.1 - Oktoberfest
Oct. 6 - 29 - Halloweekends
hey jeffery, what haunted house do you work at in mi?i run a haunted house in michigan as well.
As do I.

I don't know I love Halloween too and i found the park decorated well, but the Haunted Houses, in my opinion, were lame. What I want is park like they show at the beginning of the movie "House on Haunted Hill" The rides at that park were awesome, too bad they were fake.

HA HA HA, MELLENIUM FORCE, YEAH BUDDY!
I think the biggest problem with the Haunted houses is that, unlike Six Flags and Bush parks, all there props are "home made." They also lack in good special effects.

One other thing that has always bothered me is why don't they combine the CP Cemetery and Disaster Transport into one. The could make the haunted house twice as long by extending it into the third DT room. Then you could get on the ride and they could have more Halloween props or even better, turn off all the lights.
