Hate checking the park hours on Cedar Point's website

Really hate going to check the park hours portion of the website and seeing the weeks and days of summer disappearing.

Makes me acutely aware of summer winding down.

*sigh*

Yeah, reminds me of the old "the days are growing shorter, the nights are growing colder" CP commercials back in the days when they only had two bonus weekends. I do love the extended season now, even though some of the days are cold in October, summer seems extended when you can go to CP almost to the holiday season.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

"Come feel the warmth of summer while you still can...at Cedar Point."

I hear you... while I love Halloweekends, it is somewhat bittersweet to know that the season is winding down.

Anybody else get irrationally bummed out when the season officially ends? Maybe we could start a support group. :-)

People hate me for booking FastPasses for September weekdays too.

kylepark thanks for the link. I was teaching a marketing course when that ad first played. It was one of the most effective commercials of its time. Cedar Point should reuse it. It could still to the trick.

The calendar is now showing the park to be closed on Friday, September 5. When did that happen? I had been hoping the private event on September 6 would be cancelled thus opening the park to the public. Instead they are now closed 2 of the 3 days that weekend. Not really a bonus weekend anymore.

Looking at the park hours is depressing. Not only is summer over, but the school is going to expect me to show back up to work. I'm not a happy camper.
