Historic or older buildings on point

I know this is an off the wall topic. I was doing some reading about cp history and i noticed that there is a 100+ year old building near the beach entrance to the park. Does anyone know what that is. Also does anyone have pictures of inside the old ballroom or any other older building on the point?

I believe you are talking about Breakers Hotel, which is, I think, 103 years old this year.

not the hotel, i know that is there. If you are walking toward the beach entrance and you look into the park there are those pavillions. I believe it is somewhere in that area but im not sure. I have walked past there so many times and i cannot remember. I looked on the site with walt's pictures and could not find anything. And yes i know what breakers looks like inside, ive only been going there for 6 years.

What you (loneranger) are talking about is the Grand Pavilion, which was built in...1888 if I remember right. The Coliseum is also as old as Breakers, as well as the old administration being right around the same age.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Isn't the lighthouse the oldest structure on the peninsula, or was it rebuilt at one time?

I've always wanted to see some interior photos of the Grand Pavilion. Isn't it used for conferences nowadays? Surely someone has some taken some photos in there.

If memory serves, the original lighthouse was torn down and then rebuilt a few years later...I believe between 1890-1920.

Man, you can remember back to 1890-1920? How old ARE you?

Haha, not near as old as you (think), Chief. ;)

I guess using those phrases makes it sound like I was there, though really I'm just trying to remember everything I've read. Heck, I barely remember Mean Streak opening, and Raptor.
