Indoor entertainment complex coming to CP area?

I was doing a search at the Toledo Blade website, and stumbled across this little tidbit of info:

"A Lorain County developer is proposing a $4.5 million amusement complex in the shadow of another major entertainment attraction.
Darlene Otis, president of Six Star Productions, Inc., of Columbia Station, said yesterday her Magic Island Indoor Entertainment Park would be a complement to Cedar Point by offering "clean, wholesome family entertainment."

Does anyone know where and when this thing is going to be developed?

Post your thoughts here!

Magic Island is planned for Rt 250 just north of the Sandusky Mall. It will feature a indoor go karts, a 3D theater and some business stuff (a banquet center, I think).

Last I heard (about 2 weeks ago), they were still waiting for approval from the Perkins Township trustees on a zoning change.

I still think CP needs these 3 coasters:

¤ A good indoor coaster

¤ An out and back woodie

¤ A B&M floorless

Just my 2¢
It has been reported that some casino developers are proposing a casino and themepark for the Luna pier area of MI off of I-75 exit 9. nothing is for certain yet.
Columbia Station...Hmmmm...I wonder if those are the same people who own Swings and Things?

I do believe there is an indoor entertainment complex to be built there in sandusky on Route 250. I am friends with a family who's late father (he just died recently)worked as an architect for a firm in Fremont and it was their design project. It is also to have a waterpark section i believe. Not sure of actual year of completion

What you're probably thinking of, Mark, is Black Bear Lodge. It's going to to open in the spring of 2001 just north of Meijer, but south of the Sandusky Mall. Black Bear Lodge will have an indoor water area, Magic Island will not.

Here are a couple of stories from the Sandusky Register:

They don't own Swings N' Things, but Rockin' R Ranch somewhere in eastern Lorain County.
