Kiddy Kingdom

After comparing Camp Snoopy and Kiddy Kingdom I decided that KK really looks run down. Landscaping is almost non-existant, it is basically just a blacktop "parking lot". I would like to see KK spruced up with landscaping and some light themeing. Camp Snoopy really looks exciting and KK just doesn't compare.

A while back someone posted a topic about the oldest rides at CP. I don't think anybody brought it up but some of the KK rides look pretty ancient. I know the Kiddy Carousel is fairly old but what about some of the other rides?
I believe that most of the Hampton "umbrella" rides in Kiddie Kingdom were from the great 1969 makeover. Yes, that makes them pretty old, but the park has kept them somewhat fresh with periodic new umbrellas as needed.

Did anyone with kids notice that new this year in KK that they took the Hampton rides down from their 12" deck? The rides are now ground level. My children's dentist and my cardiologist thank you. That was always an accident waiting to happen.

The age of the Mangels Roto Whip predates all memory. I was recently told by another local that it belonged to one of the concessionaires, from waaaaay back when. New this year on that ride is the exit ramp. Thank you, CP for keeping that ride, along with its original WFMangels builder's plates and original fencing!
