Late Night Riding...

I know all the other coasters have the policy that if you make it to the line before the park closes, you will get to ride it no matter how late it takes. Meaning they won't kick you out of line (unless it broke down, I'm sure.) Is this true with MF? I mean, I've heard of psychotic line lengths for this thing, so if I got in line for it, like, ten minutes before the park closed, do you think they'd let me on? I always did that for the Raptor to get one last ride, but I don't know if the rules have changed at all...

Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill??
Answer: You don't...
To answer your question, yes. I was there on Thursday and i asked them that exact question. The park was closing at 8 and he said as long as we were in line bye 7:59 we could ride no matter how long the wait was. So as long as your in line right before the park closes you will still get to ride no matter what the wait is.

MF RIDE COUNT:3
I didn't think that was always true. Maybe for 8:00 closings. But, when the park closes at midnight people may still be in the line for quite some time. So, I guess they may have a cut off point. Although, I really am just guessing on this one.
and night riding on MF just blows everything else out of the water!! so get in that line at least 15 minutes before closing time, i would say...night rides on this thing are something not to be missed!!

can't believe they cancelled the Simpsons after all these years...now look sad and say D'OH!!
When we were there Saturday May 20th, the park closed at 10, and they were still letting people back in line at midnight! There were about 100 crazy people getting on and off , and on , and off again. It was so much fun, and the park was empty.
On AAA day the park closed at 7 pm, but we had 'til 7:07 to get in line. That was good since my brother and I rode Blue Streak again while waiting for my friend to get back from Power Tower. We just made it by getting in line at 7:04.
Opening day it closed a hour early. They did make sure everyone knew.

Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!
last year when closing at midnight they let people in line until midnight as I got in line for last rides on Raptor. Probably the same this year

Raptor Flights: 12
Force Rides: 9
Well I feel that, if you are willing to get into a 4+ hour line at midnight, they should allow that and just pay the ride ops overtime.
I agree, get in line about 15 minutes before the park closes. Servo, you are so right, nothing beats a night ride on this ride!!
On opening day, the park was open till ten, but the ride for the line was only open till nine. I'm not sure if its this way any other day though. I'm heading to CP with my dad and Jeff (screechnowl) tommarow, if the line closes when the park closes now, I would sure like to know so we don't get in line and feel stupid.

I think they were going to start the rule of one hour before park closes..because employees would be there too late and have to turn around and be back in the morning..But I heard that Mr. Miers and Mr Kinzel want it left opened till park closes just like any other ride..As for the Midnight rides that night it was because they didnt oipen Millennium up till noon..CP always tries to be fair.
