Yes, it is line jumping--and a good way of getting tossed out of the park-with no refund (if you're caught). I feel the proper procedure would be for the person that is furthest ahead in line to stand still, and wait for the person that just got in line.

I walked back in line myself, of corse it was about a 5 min wait.

I did see quite a bit of this on opening day. Nobody got caught though. It seemed the only line that I saw any security guards telling people no was MF. It was funny cause it didn't really bother me as much as it used to. Maybe as the summer wears on, if it keeps happening, it will start to bug me.

First of all just read the signiture. I feel that if you get in the line you stay there. Line jumping is one of my main pet peeves. They should stand in the line and if they are such good friends with the person ahead of them then the other person will wait at the exit for the other and then ride the ride together.
Then again it makes me mad when the person behinde me trys to cut me off at the next turn.

Remember, line jumping is NOT a sporting event!

I watched some idiots try to do it on Raptor, right under the lift! The exit ride op watched them do it, and booted them out of line after much protest. The people behind them were ready to get violent.

I've seen people booted out of line for line-jumping (though not often), but do any of you know of anyone who was actually removed from the park? Or better yet, had their passes revoked?

Think about it -- if I line-jump and the worst thing that can happen to me is that I get put back to where I should have been in the first place, where is the disincentive?

True, but there are exceptions. Many foreigners who do not speak English do not deserve to be booted. Also not everyone knows all the aspect of line jumping. After all it is not walking but to someone and pushing them out of line. I think that people who just cut in line are kicked out (or worse), while people who just didn't know and are not unruly get sent to the back.

I think people just need to speak up when they see someone jump in line. Personally, I would just wait till they are about to ride and tell a ride opp so they would have waited all that time and then get kicked out. Only problem is they are busy enough.
I saw someone do it and yelled out to them "Hey why don't you walk all the way into the station while your at it"

Hey, wait a sec!? Is backwards line jumping ok...? Ya know, walking farther back in the line to meet some friends. Of course, that really doesn't make sense, but for the good people in the world it should be ok!
I saw some kids line jumping on Monday on MF and the security just told them to get out of line.

I think on opening day it was hard to get line jumpers, for they were letting people out of line for MF to use the bathroom and I think it got hard to keep track of those who did leave and those trying to line jump.

The more you ride it, the more you want it!

For all of the line jumpers that I have seen, only in the MF line have I seen a group kicked out of line for "jumping". I personally hate it when people do this, it REALLY annoys me.

MF and that's my Final Answer ;)
I don't mind when people make a "mistake." However, I can't stand the ones who plan it out. These "Con jumpers" will use simple (but effective) techniques to get in front of the line. I really don't want to say how they do this (for obvious reasons), but I think that this is what the strictest penalty of line jumping is for.

This is what I do when I see someone line jumping.......

Last year as I waited in line for PT, I saw 3 guys cutting in to be with there friends right behind me. I was mad even though they didn't cut infront of me. I wanted to yell at them and tell them to go to the back on the line, but I got smart. I waited till I was about to entered onto the ride (about a 30 minute wait) and told the ride ops. Naturally they got kicked off and wasted 30 mintues of their day in the park.
