maXair Lighting Effects

Look at Delirium, I personally don't know how it is lit up seeing as I have never seen it but I'm sure it will be much like that.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Yes, I was refering to the Cobra Roll, not the ride on photo. Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone.

I think it would be good to have absolutely no lights, and be complete darkness.

Could some one please post a picture or exlpain to me how Delirium is lighted at night. I have ridden the ride during the day and I always thought it would be cool to look down from the top of it's swing and see some sort of search lights flailing around. Sort of like the 'Bat Signal' only with an 'X' or something glowing up into the sky.

Maybe color changing spot lights like Power Tower.

Delirium has the bright floods near the base of the legs. You can see them here:

The sign is also lighted.

I don't know why the picture won't show?

Maybe it'll work now?

Don't know if anyone has noticed it yet, but lights are in place at the bottom of the supports and one between the supports. You can see them on the web-cam. :)

From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~

Yeah, they more or less look like basic flood lights found on the outside of any comercial building. I was kinda hoping for color shifting lights like Power Tower, but I guess not.

Why are there smaller lights next to the big ones between the supports?

Color shifting lights wouldn't work since the structure is bright orange, yellow, and blue. PT has a white structure that allows colored lights to shine on it.

maXair will have the same light effects as Delirium. Plain old lights that shine on the structure.

Wouldn't it be cool if maXair had strobing lights shining up from the bottom. That would be a cool effect when you are spinning downward...

Seizure anyone?

I thought I'd bring this topic back just to ask this question. What if MaXair had strobe lighting on site around the queue? I thought about this thinking it would give the people waiting in line the anticipation of riding. Plus with the new paint job MaXair is getting this year, it will feel new as well.

By and large, it seems to me that parks are moving away from strobe lighting effects, due to the risk of inadvertently setting off a seizure in people with epilepsy. But I didn't really hit Halloweekends last year. Do they still use strobes in the houses?

Strobes are still a big part of Halloweekends. Most are now contained within a Zone or House though, and not just around the park as they have been in the past.
