Mean Streak & Blue Streak tracks...

I read that they re-tracked the MS and BS this year. Did you people who have been to CP this year feel a difference? I know both of those coasters, MS especially, were rather rough compaired to other years I'd gone. I'm talking about last year now, I haven't been this year. Any help would be...um...er...helpful...

Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill??
Answer: You don't...
I don't feel a difference in MS. Still Bumpy just how I like it

I noticed a difference. But it's not from the track, its from the damn brake they have on the drop. They might as well drop you from 60 feet and save the space they use to climb the 160 feet and braked 100 feet on the drop.
the first 2 hills on MS seemed a little smoother. Most of BS seemed smoother to me.

HA HA HA, MELLENIUM FORCE, YEAH BUDDY!
Both those coasters are continuously re-tracked as needed...Blue Streak's trackwork is totally replaced within about five years just from normal maintenance. So in theory, you shouldn't notice a major difference from retracking.

The big difference on Mean Streak this year I think has more to do with more lubrication on the rails (=less noise, smoother ride) and a higher braking force on the @!#$!$#$%@ drop trims...

MS DEFINITELY gave me a smoother ride than I can remember in a LONG time. So smooth, in fact, that my sister and I walked back around and got on again Tuesday afternoon (no wait), something I would have NEVER considered if I'd been banged around like last year...

Now, I'm not saying it was MF or even Magnum smooth, mind you. But we actually enjoyed it, in spite of the drop trim.

Yup. MS is smoother. Heck, it's even showing some hints of air.
MS smoother? I must have ridden on the wrong day.

You can fool others, but nothing you do is hidden from God.
JESUS rules :) :)
Wow 2 people agree with me in thinking it was still rough, I must have ridden on the wrong day also.

It was much smoother for me too. We rode it three times in a row it was so good! People even cheered and screamed when it pulled into the station at the end. I love Mean Streak more than ever now.
Am I the only one who thinks this ride is extremely slow!?
Dave hit it right on the head. That ridiculous trim brake in the first drop has killed the ride. I almost wonder if they did that because of the rough ride you can get on MS. IMHO I think it is now a lame ride. I was very disappointed.
I DAMN MEAN HEADACHE, wait, MEAN STREAK to HELL! I rode that yesterday for only the third time ever, and I got a headache from it! I have NEVER got a headache from ANYTHING! I am one of those people who wouldn't mind if there was a 400 foot woodie, or steelie, but I HATE MEAN STREAK! Something needs to be done! It's not even fun with brakes every 400 feet along the track, and trains that don't want to turn!
Don't need to scream but the ride is showing extreme lack of speed and no real improvement on getting it more smooth in the turns. The trains just laterally move side to side and thats what makes the ride so rough. If something could be done to get the origional speed and make it a bit smoother it would be one fantastic ride.
What is CCI's number?!?!
