From what it looks like Maverick and Millenium both valleyed today. Heres a link with the picture.

On a side note to this, don't they have wheels that are better in the cold and the warm? I am sure that there is no wheels that help wind though.

I can speak from experience when I say that the conditions this morning were beyond dismal. It was freezing, and there were some very strong winds from the northwest. I think Adam and I counted 3 coasters running (corkscrew, WT, and Blue Streak) at least as of noon timeframe.

Sunday morning certainly felt like the weather picked right up where Halloweekends left off, minus the downpours. It was miserable out there.

This is typical weather for that area this time of year. I can remember when they didn't open the park until the week before Memorial Day and that was one of the principal reasons why.

I wouldn't describe it as typical at all. Having a late season freeze warning happens every few years at best.

Mean Streak and Mine Ride came up later in the day, and according to Kevin, Maverick did open around 6, but we were on our way out then. They attempted to start Dragster but I don't think it was ever really close.

Here's a video of them disassembling Milleniuim's train where it valleyed.

I'm so perplexed that Maverick valleyed. Does any one have any pictures, or know where this happened on the ride? I just would never guess that is would valley, but hey it happens to the best of the rides.

Maverick has valleyed before. So has MF but in a different spot (95% sure?)

Based on the pictures, Maverick valleyed in the horseshoe roll. If you've ever watched cold, empty trains run through there, it's not hard to imagine how it could valley in that location.

I liked all the growling, grunting and snorting the crane had to do to lift the car off the track. Those cars sure are heavy.

As of yesterday, the blue train was reassembled, and sitting on the transfer track. It had masking tape on each car identifying the position. Also, the first car, it looked like the nose was in a primer gray on the sides and just above the MF logo. Yellow and red were running yesterday, up until the evening. Red got pulled off. My last ride yesterday(5/15) was MF. The line barely extended past the unload station, but with only yellow running, it was close to a 30 minute wait.

In years past, it was not uncommon to see maintenance workers using blowtorches on the wheels in the morning.
