Most embarrasing moments at the Point?

^^ The birds described definitely are red-wing black birds, I've been swooped at by numerous of them over the past few weeks in various break areas.

Also been kicked in the head by these birds two or three times. I think it is true that they are defending a nest. Hopefully, all they do is kick, it would be very painful if they started using their beaks.

The seagulls by Breakers East were buzzing anyone that went down the path between the pool and the poolside suites where a younger seagull that couldn't fly was walking around. It was a crazy sight. There were quite a few of them dive bombing people over there this past weekend.

Also, on the side of Breakers Tower where the connector to Bon Aire used to be, if you walk through the grass back to the beach, those seagulls will try to attack you and they have visible nests right in the grass.

My sister and I were riding Gatekeeper and on the break run she tells me that she thinks she's going to throw up. I tell her to try and hold it in to avoid upsetting other guests but sure enough there was vomit all over her seat. Then when we pulled into the station, the clean up crew was getting ready and she stands up off the train and right there throws up again all over the floor. Then when we were going down the stairs, she once again leans over and throws up over the railing. Luckily we rode the left side so it didn't hit anyone in line.

The birds you described were most definitely red-winged blackbirds, and I can say based on experience being attacked by them while hiking, they were probably defending a nest. For the most part these guys nest on the ground in a bush or something versus in a tree, which you'd never notice until they start swooping down at you. They're probably the most ubiquitous bird at Cedar Point after the seagulls and the sparrows, so it's not too out of the realm of possibility.

After reading about that type of bird and seeing a pic of one, you a definitely right. It seems males are the only ones with the red markings, and they get very aggressive around their nests. Thanks for the info,
