NEW RIDE CONFIRMED FOR 2002!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot reveal my source, due to his/her position at CP, but this person has confirmed that Cp will construct the world's tallest, fastest, and longest wooden coaster. That's right-Cp will build a wooden coaster that will be longer than the Beast. The specs.? Height will be 255ft. Length will be 7,900 ft. Top speed will be close to 84mph. It will be built in the back of the park. The station will be between the Gemini and Mean Streak. The coaster will stretch back to behind the Mean Streak and will have an intertwining track in order to achieve the length. No, there will be no loop. Apparantly, CP wants to avoid the Mean Streak problem of roughness and a boring 2nd half. The name has not been finalized, but Cedar Streak has been mentioned. I wish I could give more details, but that is all I could find out. There will be an announcement toward the end of August on this. This is no joke, but please, let's try and keep this a secret at GTTP.
Yeah okay. I thought it was that S&S roller coaster

Let's leave "confirmations" for cedar point official announcements, eh?
Don't quote me on this, but at this point, I find that very hard to believe.

Don't be fooled, Coasterrush. My sources tell me it will be 260 feet, not 255 feet. And let me tell you, the Lemon Chill guy is NEVER wrong.

Well, Duane, the last closed thread was closed by Jeff at 11:48:21 PM, so 7/9/00 11:48 PM is my guess.
You know, If this is true, they should go for the longest coaster period, not just the longest wooden. That would be a good way for CP to overshadow Steel Dragon.:) Somehow, I just don't believe this rumor.

I seem to recall an urban legend somewhere that had Dick Kinzel saying something to the effect of, "We'll never build a wood coaster as big as Mean Streak again." Further legend is that they even wanted to cancel GhostRider when they acquired Knott's. Good thing that didn't pan out!

Sorry guys... a little earlier than you expected (and remember I personally don't close all of the closed threads).
