New Seats

I'm not trying to start a rumor or anything, but when we were at Cedar Point (10.31.2004) one of the supervisors said they'd be getting TTD seats on the MF trains. I think this is a good idea, because it gives bigger riders the extra few inches they need to buckle up and ride.

Tell me your thoughts.

Makes sense, guess we'll see May 7.

I heard the same rumor, makes sense to do. I heard that they wanted to do it back in May but didn't want to sacrafice each train for a few days and i heard it was also a money issue too.

I love those Dragster seats a lot more than the current Millenium ones. Fits you much better.

Hmmm. Sounds a lot like the prediction that I made on the thread "Changing Seat Style". Check it out for yourselves!

"Baby I'm ready to go!" Dragster 2004

I hope this rumor is true. Cause when I went to CP one month ago, I could ride TTD but not MF. I was ok with it, (Cause I have rode it before) but then a family member of mine tried the test seat and no go for him either. (he was also able to ride TTD) He was really bummed out cause he wanted to ride every roller coaster at least once, on his first trip to CP.

The old west was never that wild. I had the last ride on Maverick!!!

Ugh..God no. I hate the headrests on Dragster. I understand there purpose, but would hate them on Millennium.

Spending time at Applebees after Closing Day with Steph, Scotty, Jason, Ralph, Ben, Betsy, Tony, Brandon, and Tami: PRICELESS

it would have the seats...but the headrests are for the launch on TTD.

This would be the new seat style.

what a blessing it would be if the millennium trains get reworked. in my case, i won't have to go on a sadistic diet to lose 10 to 15 pounds which have plagued me this summer and fall. i'm confident other gravity challenged folks would be pleased with a change of this order.

Yeah I hate the headrest on TTD too. IT would be one thing if they actually were behind my head not my neck. The top of the headrests stops just above my neck on the smaller portion of my skull. They are too short by at least 6-8 inches I think for most people.

This would be awesome. TheRealCP can ride TTD but not MF. She's been working so hard on losing more weight, but each time she tried the test seat, it was further from buckling that it was the time before.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

She coulda told the person at the entrance she already rode it that day to get by them. The belts on the trains seem longer then the one on the test seat. My friend couldn't get the test seat to buckle but can on the train. But that really doesn't matter now. I hope they do this change it'd be really great.

I won't get my hopes up until I see/hear a TR saying that they are definitely installed. In the mean time, here's looking to my health :) and the health of all the others committed to working toward a better fit in MF.

well, I am indifferent about the seat change, but I know my future children have fingers crossed for the TTD lapbars with the different cut on Millenium.

Those seats on Goliath have no headrest. I think it would be very unconfortable going up MF's lift without them. Thunder Dolphin in Japan doesn't have them and its lift is just a little steeper than MF's. If I'm not mistaken MF is or was the only Intamin hyper with headrest.

The test seat seatbelt is MUCH shorter then most of the belts. I mean I couldn't fit in the test seat, and I got on and I fit fine with 2in of slack.

I like the seats, I think they're fine the way they are, but they need to reconfigure the seat belts. I'm very thin but when I got into the seat last year, I swear the belt just made it by a few inches. My waist size is only 32-33. So I just think if they play around with the belts a little more maybe they can pass a new law allowing people to fit in, but if your waist it above 40 or something like that, than you cant ride. That's my opionion. I like the new seat idea only if they still keep the Stadium style like they have now when it first opened.

Is it just me, or does anyone else get leg cramps after riding MF ?

Sean M. Cole

I got one before. But it wasen't that bad.
