No MFing MF today.

After months of anticipation, I drove up to CP today, absolutely friggin stoked for my first ride on Millennium Force. I get there, ask if they're opening it at noon, and they say yes. I get in line first, figuring I'll wait 2.5 hrs anyway...then a ride op says it'll be only until 11. I'm now really excited. Well, 11 comes and goes, and no test trains have run. 12 comes and goes, and still no trains. The ride ops come back again and say that it'll be a long, long time. So we leave. Find out a little later that MF will be CLOSED ALL DAY. Since I live in NY state, I don't get to CP all that often. I'm in OH for this week, and I wanted to go to SFO and CP this week. Didn't care which day. If they'd told me that MF would have been closed today, I would have left, driven to SFO and gone to CP tomorrow. Instead, I got taunted by looking at the thing and just seeing it sit there. Now I am basically forced to either pay for another admission (and another trip) either tomorrow or Thursday, or wait to ride MF until next year. If I have to wait till next year, I'll truly go insane, so basically, I have to go up this week again. I'm pretty miffed.

Does anyone know if the Pepsi can promotion takes anything off of the starlight admission? Basically, I'm planning to go to SFO tomorrow, ride the new rides, call CP, make sure MF is running, drive to CP from SFO, ride MF, and drive home. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. BTW...anyone who was there...do you know what exactly was wrong with the Force? All I heard was that it needed a part, and that the part would be here tomorrow morning. Anyway, I'd better get to ride it this week. I was having dreams before I even saw the thing. Now that I've seen it (although I never saw it run), I won't be able to get it out of my head until I ride.

On a positive note...I had the best ride on Magnum I ever had. It was absolutely phenominal. Rode in the 3rd seat, second car. I rode it again later near the back, but it wasn't nearly as good a ride. I also reaffirmed my love for Raptor. What a darn good ride.

I was there today, and got in line about 12:15. By just past 1 the line had vanished, and they were saying it could be until Thursday before the ride is running again. They had a crew working frantically adjusting bolts on the lagoon island supports. Not sure if that had anything to do with it. My friend that went with me, was not happy as that ride was the only reason she came up for it.

The folks on the island are actually painting.

I don't know what the part is, but I've also heard from People Who Know(TM) that they still have some issues with the computer running the whole three-train deal.

I was also at CP yesterday and Sunday night too-
computer probs is correct Jeff. Needless to say people were FURIOUS and really acting like a bunch of idiots---
excuse me but unlike some other big mouth park
at least CP had MF running when it was SUPPOSED to be-this is the first time (?) they have had any major probs like this with MF-cut them some slack-at least at CP there are other worthy things to ride!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
OK, so if the problem is the computer getting 3 train operation, and if thats why the ride is closed, does that mean when it opens, we will have the glorious 3 train operation...::Hallelujahs from Heaven::..We can only pray?..Anyone know anything for sure?

I frequently enjoy long walks in a park, and kicking the sky!
They may have been painting on the island, but the two guys in the crane basket were adjusting bolts.

I think in the future they need to work harder to disperse the lines, rather than let them gather like they did.

I was there yesterday and I asked a few employees and the most common answer that I received is that the trains wheels are burning out too fast.

If they run three trains, what will they do for parts? :)

I was at CP too. MY friend was bummed out. He wanted to ride it sooooo bad. I asked one of the ride ops and they said that it was mechanical problems. So, it might be the burnning of the wheels. I don't truly know why it was down. I saw a crane on the island but it was doing nothing.

The Chas F. Mann Company is continuing their painting job on the bolts. They should be finished really, really soon. They work extremely fast, extremely.

Jman! Wait! SFO is not open daily untill the 26th and will also open on the 24th from 9:00-7:00. It's probally to late but sorry you had such a rotten trip.
You know, when CP jacks up the price of admission, and doesn't pre-inform people that the reason for said increase is closed, they deserve every furious customer they get.

The entertainment business can be a ***** when you don't provide.
I agree with you Bill but "Look out!". You are going to get blasted for that comment.

Today, Tuesday, MF was open when I got to the park after 9 am, but shorlty closed due to rain!

Great! Now we can all ride Millennium Force without any further problems, hopefully.

Hi I'm new. I was also at the park on Mon and witnessed the crowd giving the park op. a hard time, I think his name was Bill. Needless to say it seemed like Bill was having a bad day, from all the people, but it was funny cuz it looked like he was not used to dealing with people, especially angry ones. But I heard from an employee that the problem with MF was that the computer wasn't recognizing the lift hill, which could be a problem. He also said they had the same thing happen to Raptor when it opened. Weird.....
Oh no! The rides are getting moody! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! LOL!
I watched Bill as he walked from the station to the front of the line. He looked like a dead man walking. I feel for the guy. I didn't like the ride being down any more than most others, but it happens.

A moody computer....hmmmm. "I'm sorry, I can't do that Dave."
