Ohio Schools..

Anyone know when the Ohio schools break for summer?..mainly just the ones close to CP that could potentially affect the number of park visitors.. Since I am not unfortunately able to make it up there for opening day weekend(when i know the little ones are still in school) I was wondering a better time to go, during the week maybe if they are still in school.

Cheers

First time to Cedar Point was opening day 2009, 7 hours in line for TTD, 2 rollbacks =)

I looked up some of the major Ohio school districts (they usually have academic calendars on their websites) a while back and I recall most of them not letting out until early June. I'm hoping that'll make my visit in the middle of next week a good time to go!

While they might not be out of school in May, you still might have to think about the fieldtrips.

Field trips cause bigger crowds than anything.

Bigger crowds than summer vacationers? I think not.

I need an auto-responder for this question. :)

Just let common sense be your guide. Most kids are out by mid-June, families began vacations, and the park starts to become more crowded. Week to week attendance doesn't suddenly spike between the first and second weeks of June. It's a gradual increase.

There has never been a better guide to judging park attendance than this right here. No school schedule could ever compete with it.
