One thing that shows how unique MF is

At coastermania I observed this many times. When the general public was on it, virtually nobody had their hands up on the first drop. After the first turn, a few more people put them up. Going over the magnum hill even more had them up and by the end of the ride, almost every train I saw, the majority of people had their hands up. I have NEVER seen that on a coaster. I guess it just shows you how really comfortable this ride is.
On my midnight night ride, I coaxed over half of the train to put their hands up on the first drop.

Personally, if you see me with my hands DOWN, it's becuase I think it gives you more of a thrill. You feel the train and more of the ride if you do this not to mention the angle of the first drop seems MUCH steeper!
CPcyclone, I know what you mean! It's a lot of fun to ride with your hands up, but it's always just as fun for me, holding on, for the same reasons you mentioned. You feel like you're a part of the ride for some reason, or at least I do.
On my 4 rides, almost all of the riders had their hands up. I thought that was pretty cool.

Me, I have my hands up on all the rides. Yes, even the mine ride. lol
Me and Jeff(screechnowl) always have our hands up on all the coasters. On Mine Ride its fun to just go crazy and yell your head off, it cracks people up and gets them pumped. With MF most people are worried about the drop thats why they don't have their hands up till the turn or after the tunnel. Personaly, I think when you have your hands up the airtime is just so much more cooler, because you are feeling more of the sensation of free-falling. Especialy on the first drop, you have airtime almost the whole thing (depends where you sit).
