Orange stake in TC woods

The stake is for the "Presidents Alive!" 2013 attraction. I believe it marks the spot where the animatronic Abraham Lincoln will stand. Tickets will be an additional $5 please.

That stake was there on opening day along with some other survey marks near the petting farm. There was an entire discussion on PB about the fate of the petting far as a result finding of the stake(s) and marks.

Did any notice that three large tree have been removed from inside the Antique car fence. I noticed last week. I don't know when this happened. The stumps that remain are near the Roundup pavilion. I don't know why they were removed and won't try to guess.

I know the park has had to remove/trim a significant number of trees due to emerald ash borer. That seems like a likely culprit for the removal of trees back in FT.

Many rumors from people that the ride for Cedar Point 2013 in that space, and those cars will be moved up to the Cadillac Cars up front.

Lemon Chill-level rumors deserve recognition, but this makes even less sense than most rumors.

It was discussed back in '05-'06 that CP had it's sights set on revitalizing or increasing traffic in the back of the park. Whether that was pure speculation or based on factual knowledge, that certainly seems to be the case, as they've spent a bunch of money in recent years adding attractions - a world class coaster, a popular flat ride, and most recently a new water ride. Not to mention Starlight Experience. These additions have had the effect of pulling a decent crowd back to FT.

It would seem logical that the park would now set their sights on "sprucing up" other areas of the park. That's why, in my opinion, the most logical choice for a new ride is up in the Blue Streak midway area. There's a fair amount of room there (once the Turnpike Cars are removed), and putting in a shiny new ride there could pull traffic over that way.

I would love to see a new coaster back where the MeanStreak is...

Of course, this could only be accomplished by getting rid of MeanStreak... would that be so bad?

If you consider that MS's entire queue full of people would then be unleashed upon the midways during a Halloweekends Saturday, then yes, it would be a very, very bad thing. :)

I wouldn't get too excited about this unless you see in the spring of 2012. So far the rumored area that I've heard from different people is that the new roller coaster will go where the turnpike cars currently resides along with Calypso being moved to another spot in the park.

That area really does need something there but i think they should tear down the old pirate ride building there and if they need more room retire the cadilac cars and put the turnpike cars there.

IMO, not at all. I LOVE how the coaster looks, but the ride itself is just...painful. It takes up a lot of space too, perfect for a large coaster. ;\

My guess is that the next coaster could be OVER TC, By Calypso, or by Disaster Transport + MaXair where that huge space is behind the wall of games.
