POLL: Best Money Spent at CP

Simple poll question. What was the best thing you ever bought at Cedar Point, and to this day do you think it was worth the money?

CP Track Record - 13 (too tall for Jr. Gemini)

Belive it or not. All the 97cent ($1 after tax) souvenir maps I've bought over the years. I think it's worth all $1 dollar because it offers a historic look of the park in a particular year when you open the map several years later, and realize a lot has changed.

I agree with the maps being the best value. I have two of them (2000 and 2001) framed and hanging in my room and I plan on getting one each year I visit. Also, as an employee, the sweatshirts you can get for like $13 are pretty nice and a heck of a lot cheaper than the $50 ones they sell to guests. :)

I'm hoping that the $79 I dropped on my 2002 season pass will also be money well spent, but its not clear yet exactly how many times I'll use it.

Around '81, '82, when I was a little tike I bought this huge coloring marker. Actually it is a series of small, different colored, markers that stack together to make a long marker. Anyway...here it is 2002 and only one of the 10 colors has dried up.

Staff Hats,Sweatshirst,Crew Shirts,Warm Up Suits And Rain Suits along with those suveneier maps.

"And His Last Words Were Huzzah!"

Probably the totally cool black MF T-shirts that they sold for about a couple months before they ran out them back in 2000. They have the huge first hill illuminated at night, with some stats throughout the shirt. I'm so glad I bought one at CoasterMania. It was my first CoasterMania, the first day of summer after a very long off-season, and the first day I got to ride MF. It definitely brings back some great memories. Chalk it up for $19.00 well spent.

Here's something a little different: the Cedar Point french fries. They are worth the money every time.

Cedar Point, the cure for the Summertime blues!

Ditto on the souvenir maps. I buy one every year to hang in my room.

My ticket into the park

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.

Film!!! (Though technically this would be money spent FOR CP, not at the park...) I love looking through my photo album and reliving the fun and zany memories of trips to the Point with friends in years past. Along with the picture category are the souvenir photos I bought when I first rode the Millennium Force with my best friend back in May 2000... I didn't know her face could do that.

Same here! Almost anything I get from Cedar Point is money well spent. I like to just pick up brochures when I see them. I have a collection of a lot of parks.

The best thing I ever spent money on wasn't inside the park but pertained to it nontheless. I have started collecting CP pennants and now have turned into an Ebay-Junkie. :)

The beer I bought Tim to keep him at the Red Garter last Father's Day.

It's very hard to drink all day...
Unless you start first thing in the morning.

The best value vote, would go to Souvenier Maps... to be able to keep them and even just open them in the offseason, for a lousy buck, is way cool.

My favorite purchase, would go to one outside of Cedar Point. I absolutely love the baseball cap I got from the Arrow website store. It's got the Arrow "a" on the side, and the "Arrow" text on the back. I wear that thing nearly every day.

Besides season passes, the best purchase I ever made was a pair of shorts and a cropped t-shirt to replace wet jeans and t-shirt after I got talked into the water rides. After 3 hours my jeans were still wet and chafing.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Since I recently moved, I found some cool souvenirs when I was packing things up:

* Two Cedar Point "flip calendars"- one with the CP&LE Railroad and Shoot The Rapids on the front, the other simply had "The Amazement Park" logo.

* A Cedar Point 10-color pen (the thing looks a little strange... and some of the comments I used to get when I used it weren't exactly pleasant!)

* A Cedar Point all-in-one colored pencil (there were like 35 little "leads" that could be placed in the tip of this plastic device and used to color.)

* And I found an old (probably late-60's/early 70's) "Cup and Suacer" set which featured the old "CP" logo, a depiction of the Sky Ride with its original gondolas (bucket-shaped?) and a few other things (beach, CP & LE, etc.).

It's kind of sad, but for my drinking glasses, I have CP cups, Disney World glasses, old Sea World mugs, and even an ancient Geauga Lake cup from 1974. Heck, even my salt and pepper shakers are amusement park themed as I got them from Waldameer Park!

In order of revelance -

ADMISSION!

Rain Poncho - which later figured into our meeting up with CP Twister in the GA line up for the U2 concert in Chicago last October.

The Millennium Force penny-squisher thingy. The best 50 cents (OK- 51 cents) I ever spent.
