Question about Gemini.

Of all the coasters I have ridden, if the ride was a woodie it was all wood(structure and track) and if the ride was steel it was all steel. I would just like to know how a ride like Gemini being wood structure and steel track makes for a different experience? Does anything stand out about the experience when riding or is it just something different to look at?
The track is steel and tubular instead of railed, most people consider this a steel coaster, even Cedar Point.

It looks like a wood coaster but rides like a steel, its very smooth. It's futuristic and rustic at the same time, reminds me of Mine Ride, just really big.
this is my favorite coaster at the park...of course i love all the others too..i havent been on MF yet..but i cant wait to get on it.
Ok, since CP calls Gemini and Steel coaster, then what do the call the Mine Ride?? Its a steel tublar track just like Gemini.

The Gemini hasn't felt very smooth so far this season. Even though it is steel tubular, it has in my opinion and three rides so far been bumpy.
Mine ridw is also a Steel Coaster. If you look at Guiness (sp?) They say Cedar Point has 2 wooden roller coasters.

A coaster is always classified as a steel or woodie by the track. The structure has nothing to do with it even though the structure is what people would classify it as just by looking at it.
Cedar Point does have 2 wooden coasters -- Blue Streak and Mean Streak. The Mine Ride is a steel coaster, because of the tubular steel track.
Gemini and Mine Ride are considered steel in the same way that Villain at SFO with its steel structure and wooden track is considered a woodie.
