Hi guys I'm new to this site. Anyways, none of the people were taken to the hospital. No one was seriously injured so IDK where that came from.

liebevision, I never said it didn't, but kidcoaster was about a day late, and I wasn't going to retype everything. I figured just read it there. And then continue the discussion.

according to Newsnet5.com a train rolled back after not making it up another hill. www.newsnet5.com

Wow, that's really weird. I never really liked that coaster, but it will be interesting to find out exactly why that happened.

It's called Millennium Force, not "Millenium" Force. Thanks.

That must be an old report from newsnet 5 because the train did roll back but that was about 2 years ago and im about 99% sure that no media had gotten wind of what happened the train was removed from the track that night so even employees in the park dont even know what happened

3rd year TL at Geauga Lake (home of....... a big pond?)

Coasterbuzz already picked up on this one.

This is a Geauga Lake thread if you haven't noticed....

I visited Geauga Lake for the first time two weeks ago, and while waiting in the station house for Raging Wolf Bobs I witnessed that the structure moves at least a foot to the right when a train goes by the hill you can view from the station. I was somewhat aghast by this, but I rode Raging Wolf Bobs a few times anyway. :)

I heard that one woman who was in the back car that derailed got some burns on her leg, but I think that was the worst injury on the train.

^^ That is very common on wood coasters.

I figured as such or I could not imagine they'd run the ride (since it's so clearly visible). Still a bit disconcerting, though, and it's not something I'd seen before. I haven't been on a ton of wood coasters, but it's something I'll be looking for in the future. In the case of Raging Wolf Bobs, you have a great vantage point of that turn from the station..

Wood coasters move all over the place so they don't break. Steel coasters do it too, though generally to a lesser degree.

Pretty strange incident though. The one thing most fixed by the refurbishment of the ride was the sloppy track gauge. How it gets wide enough to come out is beyond me. God knows it doesn't move all that fast through any of the higher sections.

Does this mean I must now speculate the worst?

Just for the sake of argument, a train failure hasn't been ruled out yet. Perhaps a wheel assembly gave out?

That is exactly what I'm thinking happened, but that just speculation of the worst on my part. ;)

Maybe it was the rain? ;)

Sorry, I couldn't resist...
