Rain delay

I am planning to attend CP on Monday and scattered showers are predicted. I can't change my plans now so I was wondering how long the rides take to re-open after a light shower? The site just says ASAP.

Sorry if this has been answered before.

The site is right... it's as soon as possible. Read this.

Thanks... I guess. I figured I wasn't the first to ask, but I thought people could share the time it took during their visits. ;)
I think you are going to have nicer weather than you think on MOnday.

Keep in mind that weather changes daily. My last trip to CP, rain was predicted up until the night before when the forecast changed to "afternoon showers". In actuality, all it did was sprinkle for about 15 minutes, and nothing closed down.

On the other hand, a prediction of rain keeps the crowds down. A shower in the afternoon drives away those who are already there. All of this means more ride time for you!

Thanks OldCper... You are very right that the forcast changes quickly! I checked that same site an hour ago and it said rain. Thanks again.
Yes, it does change hourly...but even if it doesn't rain it looks like it will be too cold for Soak City. I am going to be at C.P. from Sat. through Wed. staying at the Breakers.
We were there last week and got to ride MF in the rain (and yes rain stings at 93 mph but it was still great). My understanding is it is lightining that shuts the rides down. Several rides continued running through the rain. We thought the day was literally a washout, but the skies cleared and we had the park to ourselves. It was great!
If you spend a few days there you will be happy when it rains early and everyone leaves or avoids coming all together. The only time the are real adimant about closing rides is when there are thunderstorms. I went last Monday and I was thrilled when it rained all the way down. At about 3:00 the rain let up and we were able to get 4 laps on Magnum, 3 on MF in 5 hours!
